Comment:

Shes very unorganized and all over the place. She wastes most of class time and when she gives map quizzes, she spends 30 minutes of class talking about stuff that has nothing to do with the quiz. Then she only allows you to take it within 10 minutes, and rushes you to finish it while she packs up, even though theres 10 minutes left of class

Comment:

She is a bit all over the place, you never knew what you were exactly supposed to do for the class. She's a nice person, she just has a hard time teaching a class. I did not like the way she taught, as it was simply dates on a board and names that we were expected to memorize. I still to this day do not know how I managed to get an A in this class!

Doenges is a super sweet lady. However, her class is terrible. It is so boring and she makes too big of a deal about the class material. Also this course is supposed to be a "geography" class, but it is just a boring history class. She is so behind in technology and will put you to sleep during class. Do not take.

Don't waste ur money on the textbook! Even though there are 6 map quizzes, 4 exams w/ 25 multiple choice ?s & 3 essays (she literally gives u the questions ahead of time), and a 5-7 page research paper on anything. I'm a daydreamer & she talks a lot, still this class can be an easy A if u use the internet, try to show up, & email her as if u care.

I have to say that I really really enjoyed my past semester in geography. She is a wealth of knowledge and is truly passionate about the subject which she teaches. She makes class fun and is honest and clear when it comes to grading and tests. A great class and professor.

First of all, she is a nice professor. However, she gives you three exams that have three essays and 40 multiple choice answers to do for each exam and you need to read if you want to pass the exams. She will also give out map quiz which is easy if you study. Also, you have to do a book reflection paper and a research paper.

Lectures were very boring and difficult to understand. Professor talked quickly and quietly and wrote very small and messy notes on the board. She moved very quickly through each topic and did not take the time to make sure we understood. I emailed her once about concerns about my grade and she told me "You'll be fine" and I did not do well.

She's the best Geo teacher ever. Took class as a retake and made A's all semester. One 7-10 page paper, a book report, 3 exams (3 essay questions and 25 multiple choice), and 6 map quizzes all semester. Don't expect it to be an easy class. You HAVE to study and read the book for MC questions. She only goes over essay questions in class!! TAKE HER!

This is my second time taking Dr. Doenges and she is wonderful! She loves what she teaches and it shows. Class goes by fast. Since this was a W course, it was expected to have a lot of writing. A reading reflection about once a week, a term paper, and some little papers here and there. Would take her again and would recommend.

This professor cancels class all the time. Her lectures are extremely boring, they're honestly very hard to sit through. She's a tough grader, no matter how much you write she'll always say that you need more. Avoid at all costs!

The whole semester we had 4 map quizzes that were grade boosters. Also we had a book report which was also quite easy. We had no midterm exam. The only thing is we have a 10-15 page paper due at the end of the semester that she expects you to hand in your progress throughout. The final is a take home. Very easy, She's very quirky.

She is a little cooky so it makes the class not so boring. Map quizzes are really easy and boost your grade. This class overall wasn't so bad, you take a lot of notes though. She claims you NEED the book but I didn't use it once. She gives you hints for the exams the class before so don't miss it.

Comment:

Professor Doenges is the sweetest lil lady. A little outdated in her methods, she really cares about her students and strives to make geography a universally easy subject to understand. Her lectures are concise and helpful, and though quizzesexams are frequent, she preps you very well beforehand. Values dedication and makes the course engaging.

Prof. Doenges is extremely nice and has a ton of knowledge of geography. She makes the class interesting and fun. One of her favorite words is "infrastructure" so use it in your essay questions on tests if you can. She has 3 tests (60 multiple choice and essay), 6 map quizzes and then research paper. Does exam review of questions on test.

Catherine is the best. She's very knowlegeable and loves what she does. She gives you the answers to the test you just have to memorize them. Really nice and interesting
