Any band geek knows - the director makes all the difference. Brad is one of the most respected and honorable people I know. He makes it a priority to know your name as soon as you pass your audition. On the field, I often see him smiling while he conducts, and his enthusiasm for music is contagious. It's been an honor marching under his direction.

Simply a great person overall; his style of teaching expects much from the student but I definitely grew from the experience. HMB is an obvious time commitment, but is definitely worth it, especially with Brad as the director.

Brad is genuine, positive, deeply respectful, has integrity, compassion & ethics. His expectations are clear & appropriate. Awesome director, genuinely cares about his students, approachable, friendly, very knowledgeable when it comes to music. However this class is a huge time commitment. Be prepared for 2hr rehearsals 4 days a week and your Saturdays are completely gone on home game weeks. But then again it's marching band before, what else would you expect?

Brad is so totally an awesome director! class can be intense but hey we look good on the field! some peeps say he doesn't reply quickly to emails but I always get a reply totally fast! He cares about his students if your gone and he doesn't know why he will totally call you to make sure your okay!

He's a really cool teacher that is easy going and tough at the same time. We know what's expected of us and if we're screwing up, he'll tell us on no uncertain terms, however... he's very much a people person and works with us so we improve our athletics and musicianship. he's a really cool guy, although marching band is some intense and difficult stuff. I'd reccommend having him as a teacher, only if you love to work your butt off, because it is a really hard course.
