Comment:
Dr. Wong is very heavy on lecture notes so you don't want to miss too many classes. She can sometimes be very unorganized and it shows in her grading, mistakes on test questions and even repeating test questions. So, you'll need to show her this at times. She's very knowledgable and has a great personality so I would recommend her to anyone.

Pro: kind, understanding, encouraging, not too difficult of a class, online is excellent format, good book, best to connect with her during office her hours Con: poorly worded tests, rarely updates grades so difficult to gauge your grade, sometimes test questions are very obscure or do not match up to what book says, that doesn't match the lecture

Dr. Wong is an amazing professor! Her exams (3) are online and are mainly based off lecture so I suggest taking notes on your laptop because she allows you to just copy and paste answers. She gives the writing assignments (2) out about a month in advance and is available if you have any questions. She is a pretty lenient grader!

She's good, not great about updating your grade so it's tough to know where you stand. She rarely gets back to you via email. I needed to go through department chair to get some clarity on an issue. Her tests are poorly worded, have obscure questions that were never discussed and may only have one sentence about in the book. Compassionate & caring

Dr. Wong is an amazing professor. She has a great sense of humor. This was my 4th class with her and I plan on taking another class with her next semester. She has 3 tests that are issued online that allows us to have more time to take it. She issues a group paper and lectures through powerpoint. If you miss class she will not give you the notes.

She is great during lectures and has a lot of real-world experience. Very, very, very unorganized though. Often makes mistakes on her syllabus, handouts, test and more. Does not grade anything in a timely fashion. Does not seem to have clear grading criteria for her papers either. Don't even bother emailing her about anything!

She doesnt update grades, shes not clear on writing assignments, gets off topic very easily/rarely gets through lecture. Tests have little to do with what she covers in class. She also doesnt reply to emails. I emailed her multiple times throughout the semester and didnt get a single response. I would avoid taking this professor if possible.

I took this class online and the only deadline is at the end of the year. Each week we have a test and material to read as well as posting comments on a discussion board. Material is interesting and its easy to stay on top of the workload!

Professor Wong has a lot of real world knowledge which is definitely helpful, and lectures are interesting. However, her tests are all over the place and pulls random facts from the book that weren't discussed. Her grading is not clear and will mark you down for things she did not ask for, and do not count on her to grade anything on time.

Cute, funny, & interesting during lectures. Need to attend for notes! She seems to be spaced out a lot of the time though. The syllabus was a hot mess! Grading criteria was not correct when she handed it out, nor did she correct it. There were a lot of mistakes on test questions (duplicates or not from the assigned chapters) and lecture slides.

Dr. Wong's tests are based half on the lectures and half on the book reading. Attendance is not mandatory, but you should show up to get the notes. There are 3 tests and 1 paper. Pretty easy professor. She cares a lot about this field and is open to answer any other questions you have about the real world

Professor Wong is a great professor, I took her for both SOCL 3160 and SOCL 4800 this semester. She was very informative. She gives three exams and two papers. the exams are completely based on her powerpoint. she does not put her powerpoint online so i would recommend going to class in order to do well on the exams. she's a great teacher

Boring class with a difficult and unclear group project. Unless you absolutely need this class, don't take it. Tests mostly come from lecture so you need to go to class. She allows a full sheet of notes for the tests.

Easy online class. Read lectures and the textbook and you'll get an A on the tests. Discussion posts are kind of long and so are the videos that go with the discussion posts. Had one paper to write which was really easy. Offers extra credit at the end. Everything is due at the end of semester.

The class is online; I don't know much about the professor, but I can tell you that the class is not hard. It's time consuming. There are weekly videos (usually 1-2 hrs) and discussions, which take up the most time. The lectures are great reviews of the chapters to read over before taking the tests, which are fairly easy-just make sure you READ!

Didn't learn anything all semester. Boring lectures and pointless videos. Passed because she lets the class use a cheat sheet for exams. Otherwise, the exams are difficult and poorly made. Projects lack clear instruction. Takes 3+ weeks to grade scantron exams and essays. Slow feedback and terrible at returning students emails. Will not take again.

Lectures are straightforward and she plays the occasional video. Semester consists of four fifty question tests (you can have one page of notes) and two papersprojects (not hard or long, just do them). Tests are based more off her lectures rather than the textbook.

She's so cute and funny. She constantly laughs at her own jokes. SHe uses a powerpoint every day and they're kind of boring and common sense. Class is not mandatory but important when she talks about the assignments. There are two assignments and she is not very clear on what she wants but she grades pretty easy. First 100 I've gotten on a paper.
