Professor Curtis is very helpful. I recommend you to participate in the lecture and visit her during office hours if you have any questions about the assignments. I would rate her as one of the best CJ instructors at SDSU.

Curtis is an amazing professor who is very knowledgeable and helpful. She makes the material very easy to understand. Her lectures can be a bit dry, I had her for three hours in one evening. Three short essays, mid-term, final, and participation points.

Prof. Curtis is a very very nice lady. Class was very laid back and easy. everything in her power point is what you need for her test. and she posts all her pp on bb. must take prof!!!

Probably one of the most boring classes i've ever taken. Her voice is so monotone, you can't help but drowse off every once in a while. The class subject was rather interesting but i'd pretty much teach myself. You only take 3 tests and turn in an essay, do the work and you'll end up with no lower than a B. Luck.

Very good teacher! She knows what she is talking about. Midterm and final are not hard as long as you know the definitions (she gives them to you). Definitely would take her again if I could!

Overall I enjoyed this class, at times it may seem confusing but she provides a lot of material to clear up any misconceptions. Her tests are not hard at all just study the vocab and they will be useful for other parts of the exam. Glad I was able to get into her class instead of the other instructor teaching the same one... you won't regret it.

She is a really good teacher. Going to class is not mandatory, but helps your grade as does class participation. Take notes and show up on review days for sure. I am taking her again for another class next semester.

Easy A, great professor, I would definitely recommend her. She is very kind and understands what its like to be a busy college student. Lectures can be dry, but she hardly ever goes the whole period. Guest speakers are interesting.

Class in demanding, but if a student takes Stat. for Behavioral Statistics its some what easy!Teacher is a great-very helpful! Plus there are opportunities for extra credit, midtems finals are easy, Teacher CARES ABOUT STUDENTS!If you want to know a subject matter or go for Masters-MUST TAKE CLASS!

Good professor overall. She's nice and understanding. This will be an easy class if you have any background knowledge in criminal justice/sociology. You don't really need the books...her lectures cover just about everything. 2 take-home quizzes, 2 easy exams, and she takes attendance which she will take into consideration for final grades.

Lectures are VERY dry, and you have to get into it because the material covered will be on the exams. YOU DO NEED THE BOOK. Curtis does her best to keep it interesting, but it is boring. The projects are very easy and she is an easy grader. Utilize good time management and get your assignments in on time. She will mark you down if you do not.

We really didn't use the book at all, although all the info you need is in there, so if you miss class, you're covered. The extra credit is easy and super helpful for doing the "big paper." My lowest grade in the class was a B+, with an A average on everything. Show up, don't fall asleep, and read what she posts on blackboard. End of story.

tough class, not a class where you'll get an A, based on the subj. begins each class with useless current events which unrelates to course material. 1 long semester paper divided in 3 parts, midterm and final that WAS NEVER EASY, nice teacher, but difficult stats/research class, only an A if u know the stuff, a B- is average Dr.Anastasia is better

If I hadnt known that this class would be boring, I would have never taken it. Better to get Desire instead of Curtis, 1 Long paper that spans the entire semester,2 exams that are difficult BC the class topics are confusing to get, went to review and still didnt get that A, like is said, gives XC but it isnt worth alot, at most u'll get a B here.
