Comment:

Dr. Bullock is a legend. However, I didn't enjoy this class as much as I had hoped. The class structure is boring and often unclear. It is a lot of reading. This was my first time getting less than an A in a political science class, and I was one class away from being done with my major. If that tells you anything.

Comment:

Dr. Bullock is a legend. Not only is he brilliant - he really cares about seeing his students succeed. Lectures are engaging and sometimes he brings in guest speakers. He covers a lot of info that will be on the tests in class so note-taking is super important. Also there is a lot of reading so it's helpful to keep up with that when it's due.

Before you leave UGA, take a class with Dr. Bullock. He is, by far, the most respected professor at UGA and it is well deserved. His Lectures are engaging and he genuinely wants o see everyone succeed.

Comment:

Bullock learned the name of every person in our 80 person class, he is by far my favorite professor so far at UGA. A must-take. The quizzes are awful (you have to read, I learned this the hard way), but tests are very fair if you listen, and I don't think he was nearly as harsh a grader when it came to the term people as people made him out to be.

Comment:

Don't graduate from UGA without taking a class with Dr. Bullock. He's fantastic and one of the most intelligent professors I've ever had. His lectures can be hard to follow at times, but he's great about answering questions if you're ever confused. There are reading quizzes but he drops the lowest 2 grades. Tests are fairly easy.

Dr. Bullock is easily one of the most respected in his field. That being said, his lectures were a little jumbled and hard to follow. Super helpful in office hours and it's clear he wants his students to succeed. Reading quizzes were terrible, even if you did the readings and were ready. They were full of nonsense questions, but tests were fair

Tests are a mixture of IDs, short answer, and essay. Keep up with the reading. You have quizzes. The term paper was one of hardest things I have done in my life. BUT he is an amazing teacher and super sweet. He makes his lectures funny and interesting. I would take him again, but a different class.

This man is a gem. Dr. Bullock is one of the most respected professors at UGA, especially in the SPIA department. His class is by no means easy, but it's doable and he is very helpful during office hours. He is one of the greatest resources you can have and is a great mentor in the political science field. TAKE HIM.

Bullock is rightly considered among the forefront in his field, but he also has high expectations for his students. He is a very good lecturer, and a tough but helpful grader. Do the readings, and show up or you will have a hard time. Also, if you take his class, be passionate about politics. The way he operates is difficult for non-majors.

Dr. Bullock is a must-take for any SPIA student. He is incredibly smart, funny, and takes the time to learn every student's name and pushes you to think critically. His class is not easy, and there is a final paper, and tests are difficult, but it is worth it. He will make you smile and you will learn so much about politics from him. Take him!

Charles Bullock is genuinely one of the best professors I have ever had. He cares about his students so much and he's hilarious. If you're a poly sic major/minor TAKE HIM. He is the sweetest person I've ever met and I would take him over and over again if I could. (But just be aware that he grades the paper pretty harshly, but the tests aren't bad)

Professor Bullock is the best professor I have ever had (even though I'm a freshman). He makes you read a lot, but it is worth it. He is funny and looks out for his students by offering internship opportunities. If you take him you will not regret it. He learned all 88 of his student's names also. I wish I could take his class over and over.

Great professor, a must for poli sci majors. He has been teaching for almost 60 years and his experience is unmatched. He is witty, engaging, and genuinely cares for the students and wants them to succeed. He is big on internships and developing students' writing skills. He gives you at least two pages of typed feedback on your term paper.

Best professor EVER!! If you are a Pols major, TAKE HIM!! Loved the class! He's so funny and I learned so much. Get ready to read and work for it however, really understanding guy and amazing professor. I wish I could take him for every class!

I joined this site specifically to recommend Dr. Bullock. Not only are his lectures compelling, he cares intensely for his students. He gives lots of reading; be prepared to answer his questions on the spot throughout class. Tests are lecture material and book material only. Research papers are lots of work but he is VERY willing to help.

Taking his class is like an unwritten requirement for Political Science majors. It is pretty hard, not gonna lie, but somehow you feel like it's all worth it because succeeding in his class is so rewarding. He also hooks you up with internships and has one of the sharpest political minds in the country.

I had bullock for freshco... he was a really nice old man who remembered all of our names, but still this was the hardest freshco class offered. You have insane amounts of reading to do and your grade is 10% participation then 3 exams. ( each exam is an essay, IDS, multiplce choice, and short answer). So you really really have to study hard.

DR. CHARLES BULLOCK IS AN ANGEL SENT FROM UP ABOVE - IF YOU CAN TAKE HIS CLASS, DO IT. HE WILL BEND OVER BACKWARDS TO HELP YOU OUT. Class wasn't easy, but if you do the readings you will be fine. Seriously though, he gave a speech at the end of class last semester and the whole class was in tears. Such a sweet, sweet man.

He knew his stuff. I did find his condescension and overall his dislike toward the former military students a little disheartening. Fortunately, it wasn't unexpected. I had heard a few stories before I took his class, so I went in there mentally prepared for it.

Comment:

Dr. Bullock is by far the best professor at UGA he is engaging funny and has a little bit of knowledge on any subject. His class isn't easy, but with the work you put in for an A is so worth it, as my knowledge in American politics far surpasses anyone else that took American Government in another class.
