Comment:
The course had all I needed for QM. Dr. Thorn was always helpful during office hours. I sometimes dropped by his office not during office hours, and Dr. Thorn never refused to help right away.

Comment:
Took course in spring 1997. Book we used was written by Nobel prize winner, but had zero examples of how to do problems. Lectures were extremely boring. We had two hour class, never gave the 15 minute break in between. Entire class (8 of us) went to his office hours to do homework assignments. Only theory in class, no practical examples.

he always makes typos and mistakes on lectures notes. He does not fully explain the reasons and applications for using equations.

He always makes mistakes when writing things on the board, and then realizes later after you've already learned the wrong thing. He's pretty condescending too.

Comment:
Lectures were horrible to suffer through. His math and explanations were WAY to advanced for an introductory course. He's probably a good upper-level professor though.
