Class is only lecture. Most of the terms came down to the last class before a test. Lots of study material given. Not hard class, but youre screwed if you dont show up.

Comment:

Really cool guy whose truly passionate about what he teaches which I respect him for. Yet, he makes his class so much harder than it needs to be, to the point of where you question why you took this class in the first place. If you're taking this class for a basic credit i recommend finding another course or professor unless you love long lectures.

YOU HAVE TO BE ABLE TO LISTEN. I am bad at focusing for long periods and all he does is lecture and strays from the outline, if one was even provided. Retaining information was difficult because some things he'd talk about were unrelated. You can tell he knows what hes talking about but I think study guides and some way of note taking would help.

I really enjoyed both classes I took with him and I wish I could have enrolled in more of his classes. His exams are very easy as long as you take notes and study. He ties in real life and his experiences into his lectures, which makes them very interesting. He is very passionate about what he does and you can tell from his lectures!

Dr. Schuler is the best professor I have had so far. He is nice and caring and really goes out of his way to push students. Beware though! Don't do the work and he will make you feel bad about it. Also, he likes to quiz you outloud in class to see if you have studied. Do the translations!!! any humanties student should take his class.

If you miss one day of class you will miss a lot of important information. There was only 4 tests so make sure to study hard and do not get behind. Other than that Dr. Schuler is a great professor.

Your only grades are your four main tests and a writing assignment. Pay very close attention in class, especially on review days. Hes very funny and easy to talk to. 10/10 would take again.

Very passionate about what he teaches. He covers all the material that is on the tests and tests are practically the only grades you will get in the class. In my class we only took 3 test and that was it so study for the tests and take notes in class and you should do fine.

Dr. Schuler is an amazing professor. I took him for myth as well as Latin, and passed both with an A. He's very helpful & accessible outside of class. He's so passionate about the subjects he teaches, making his lectures very interesting and fun. He also reviews for every quiz. You won't find anyone more entertaining or knowledgeable than him!10/10

Charlie Schuler is a fantastic teacher. He's passionate about what he teaches and it makes the for good lectures. If you show up and take notes you will pass. He goes over everything that will be on all his tests.

Schuler really knows what he is talking about. All he ever does is lecture and show a few pictures, so pay attention and take notes. It is really easy to pay attention in his class though because he makes the material interesting. The only grades were the three tests we took, but they were easy, and he said what would be on them ahead of time.

He kept telling us about an essay we were required to write, but changed the topic every class and told us it wouldn't be graded, but we still had to do it. His tests aren't hard, but you have to study. From what I know, he doesn't take attendance and the book is not required. He gave us extra credit to watch a movie and write him a paragraph.

As a teacher, he is a great guy and knows what he's talking about, however, he tends to ramble about his adventures around the world which is a waste of time, in my opinion. If he didn't ramble so much, we would've covered a lot more in class. Read at your own time to elaborate your notes taken in class.

Fascinating to listen to. 3 tests (Greece, Roman Republic, and Roman Empire) with the last one in place of a final. Two essay questions and a bunch of matching. I felt it was easy, but a lot of people in my class thought it was hard. Let me say again: lectures were fascinating! No, you don't have to memorize a bunch of dates, either. Take it!

One of the best teachers at PSC. A laid back guy who is passionate about history/ mythology.
