Christine is an excellent teacher. She is tough to understand at first, but she genuinely cares about her students. She likes to see that you are trying, and she doesn't shy away from critique/feedback. If something doesn't work she will tell you. Critique isn't personal, it's subjective, and the people that don't understand that are butthurt.

Christine gives constructive criticism and good advice. However, many assignments were not very relevant to a career in Graphic Design. I talked with numerous professional designers who out right laughed at the description of my assignments. Instructions are often unclear and open ended. It is possible to get an A, you just have to work VERY hard.

Christine is a great instructor. Every negative comment that has been stated has been from past students who are pissed she didn't say "wow that's so cool, you're awesome." If you can't take a critique, don't become a designer. She provides useful constructive criticism. Definitely prepares you for the real world and she CARES more than any teacher

Christine has high expectations for all of her design students. She is excited about design and is a tough grader. When she says she is your client and you have to please her with your work she is serious about that so get to know your client.

What can be said about Christine that hasn't already been said. She's not a designer that's for sure, and yes she is a little slow to pick up concepts. Never one time did I feel like I had a handle on her assignments and always felt like I was swimming up stream. Terrible.

Definately unorganized and perhaps doesn't even hold a bachelors. Best keep your ideas simple if you want a good grade, if it is too complex she gets confused.

She is a tough teacher, she grades hard. She tends to not be as be organized as she could be. Make sure you ask questions about assignments or you'll just never know! Big workload, spent countless hours working for her class.

Extremely difficult. Will probably drive you to insanity a few times, but if you're dedicated, patient, and open-minded, you may learn some very valuable things personally. She is nitpicky, and sometimes she goes overboard. She means well though, and she really just wants students to succeed in a very demanding field. Expect to make some sacrifices

If you want to succeed in a graphic design career Linder will prepare you for the real world. If you want a shiny GPA, adoration of your work similar to what you family tells you, or are uncomfortable with in depth constructive criticisim a graphic design career is not for you. If you want a well supported challenge in visual arts, here you go.

Christine is the best! She really is helpful. She just wants all her students to succeed. If you have a bad attitude and have no hope of ever becoming a designer you will definitly fail this program! Lot's of people drop out of the program... if you can't get the work done or your just a lame ass.

Anyone who says she plays "favorites" is probably just not a good designer. I think Christine gives students "real world" feedback instead of holding your hand. She lets you know if something sucks and I love that. Her classes are really tough, but that's what makes you better.

Christine plays favorites and may be **** in her grading. She is a downer. Unless you want to take chances with your gpa I'd stay away from her. There are better programs in art and visual communications including the University of Oregon and the University of Washington in Seattle.

Some of the comments on here are totally unfair. Christine is a lady and a sweetheart. I've never seen her not help a student who asks. Her classes are tough but a sincere effort will give a good result. She is a bit of a perfectionist, but that's not a bad thing if you really want to learn.

Comment:
Christine was drawn to the students who had taken graphic design courses at some prior time and had decided those were the "naturals." She had made her mind up that the "other" beginning students weren't going to be successful and therefore treated them accordingly. A self-fullfilled prophecy!!!

Comment:
Sometimes makes unreasonable and unrealisitc demands of students time and workload. Easily stresses out and sometimes takes it out on the students. Counterproductive and overly difficult to work with. Favors certain students and debases others.
