Comment:

Akelian is a very boring lecturer. His notes are outdated and often have errors (he writes his own material, so he just has never bothered to update it). His assignments are purposefully vague and written like a riddle. He's mild-mannered, but makes passive-aggressive remarks. Either buddy up, or know the material already. His notes do not help.

Comment:

Mr. Akelian's class is certainly not a walk in the park. Be ready for a fair amount of homework to do. Even though he lets you use a computer during tests, still do all of the homework or you will really struggle, especially if he has practicals. That being said, Mr. Akelian is a cool guy and even though his class isn't easy, you'll learn alot.

Prof. Akelian is honestly one of the best CIS teachers in Cuesta. He definitely looks out for you and helps you out in any way you need. He isn't a tough grader and tests can be taken with a computer (for code and answers). All around great teacher, would recommend.

Chris is the bomb when it comes to teaching! He's the best and makes hard stuff understandable. He expects much of us because he puts in equal amounts.

This teacher is one of the worst teachers for CIS. He is very confusing, not very helpful in answering questions, and gives almost no help on homework. He does not explain half of the stuff he teaches.

Chris is a AWESOME teacher. He is absolutely hilarious and easy to get along with. Also, very informative. He is a GREAT teacher and I highly recommend him! Also, try and ask him about his war stories, they're pretty awesome! ;)

Comment:

Chris is a very talented electronic/network wizard. His lectures tend to be a little boring, but he knows and tries very hard to keep the class entertained. I had a class every Thurs with him for 3 1/2 hours and he keeps you very busy! I love it. You WILL learn with Chris and he will make sure of it.

Comment:

Very dedicated, nice teacher. You had better read the material and study if you want to pass his classes. Flexible, the main player in the electronics engineering department at Cuesta. He makes you work at it, but also compliments progress. Cuesta is lucky to have him, recommended. Not for the lazy student.

Chris is a really good guy. He definately knows what he is talking about, and can teach very dificult topics in an understandable and consistent way. I've taken a few of his classes, and I've learned quite a bit in each of them.
