A few times, I didn't understand something and went to his office the only thing I learned is that he is thrifty regarding his interaction with students. He doesn't make any effort.

Used by many of us as a litmus test. If you don't care fro Dr Klostermeyer then you're probably going to have a bad time in CS.

Great professor, very nice and approachable. I'm not sure he teaches Comp Sci I all the time. Very easy if you practice and reference notes. Programming doesn't just come to you, you have to work on it to understand and pass.

The subject matter was relatively difficult. The first two exams are the hardest but the last two are relatively easy. I usually only ever studied the day before the exam very briefly and usually scored anywhere between an 80-95. Seriously, just pay attention and the class shouldn't be too hard.

He did an excellent job teaching. His exams indeed reflect what he teaches but he will throw an occasional curve ball question on exams. HW is given but not mandatory. On exams, write the answers the way he wants it written! Ask questions during the exams for clarity because he is not lenient on exam grades afterwards if you want to dispute it.

great at explaining everything but proofs. He grades tough but he gives you a chance to go over questions from the exam that you're positive about your answers which were marked wrong. Never used the textbook.

This class is very hard and requires a lot of study and practices. Keep in touch with professor and he will help you. you can do it if you study, other wise don't bother.

DON'T Take him! I consider myself as a bright or smart in math, but not anymore! He is not clear and don't go over problems much. His homework don't have answer and you have to go to his office all the time. His teaching is very uncomprehending and his test questions are so complicated, which could use an easy way to ask same question!

He teaches things very slowly; reminds me of Blue's Clues in the thinking chair; the answer's obvious, but he wants to give everyone a chance to think. He teaches the material in a very logical way so that it builds on itself, like an axiomatic math course, though, which is bad for those who aren't good with rigorous proof-based thinking.

I like Klostermeyer, he's a cool guy. If you can do his practice test, you will do well on the real thing. The hardest problems from the practice test will be on the test. I'm in the class now and have a B+/A-. I'll be taking him next semester as well.

Great professor. does not water down material the subject he teaches is rather complex so if you have hard time understanding - change major. Attend classes ask questions. He tests your knowledge of concepts, not the ability to remember terms. Would definitely take again

! WARNING ! Find someone else - Was a terrible semester - He doesn't give quizzes or homework, is "faint" and "condescending" when you ask him something, doesn't like to answer questions either so, this course had no real pace. You are graded solely on the Tests, which were not based on the practice exams. His accent is also hard to understand. :D

Math is this guy's life. That's in a good way. He 100% knows the material, and it's a hobby to him. The class will start out easy, but will reach astonishing levels halfway. 4 tests curved(just add 10 points per test) that mostly repeat themselves. He's also very good at tennis.

Pros: He knows his stuff. It's easy to take good notes. He is professional, organized, and gives easy tests. Cons: He doesn't use a book so if you miss interpret something and write it in your notes you are screwed. I really wish that he used a textbook.

Test were crucial. I would suggest that if you're not great in math or haven't had a course similar to discrete mathematics......then don't take this course with him. He acts as if you're suppose to know everything. Even though he gives partial credit on test, it might not help. Grade is based on 4 test. That's all.....no other points are offered.

ALL I CAN SAY IS HIS TEST ARE MUCH HARDER AND DIFFERENT THEN THE PRACTICE TEST HE GIVES YOU. TEST AVERAGES ARE AROUND 65%. EVEN THOUGH HE LOWERS THE GRADE SCALE, HIS TEST ARE STILL HARD FOR MOST TO COMPREHEND. THE ONLY ISSUE WITH HIM IS THAT HE DOESN'T THINK HIS TEST ARE TOO HARD.....WHEN THEY IN FACT ARE!!! BASICALLY HALF THE CLASS IS FAILING!!!!!

Theory and lectures were easy. Exams reflects material covered in class. Attend class, ask the right questions and you'll be fine. Term project was tough though. start doing it as soon as it is assigned.

I consider myself a fairly bright person. Although I made a 'B' in this class, I left feeling like I knew/understood nothing. Make no mistake, he definitely knows the material, but it was incredibly difficult to follow. I felt like the class was too rushed to grasp everything. I got the feeling he'd be a great teacher for graduate level classes

Lectures are very good. Lots of examples. Do the HW + take notes in class = easy exams. Final was easy too.
