Dont expect to have ur opinion heard unless he asks you a question, and even then he might cut you off to show you what he knows about the topic.Its ok, I think he wants us to get as much information in as little time as possible.He knows nearly every world event and wants us to think critically about them.Can be REALLY FUNNY when class goes well

Cliff is the sweetest guy ever. Really boring because he looovveesss talking and doesn't really let you talk. The readings are long but the work is reasonable for college. Loves Ramapo College. Graduated with Martha Stewart. Knows what he's talking about...has a passion for International Studies. Decent class. Do the readings and you'll pass

A lot, a lot of reading. Spends half of lecture on experiential component ideas, and the rest briefly on the many readings require, about 50pgs per class. Only take if you have to. Really boring, and exams are difficult. Must do readings. Great guy, not a great professor.

Comment:

Professor Peterson is a great professor who is really passionate about global issues. A lot of reading, but the readings are really interesting. Very clear with work and exam, and I thoroughly enjoyed the class. If you keep up with the readings and journals, you will do fine. He is so nice and smart, and really knows what he is talking about.

This man loves the sound of his own voice. He's the only one. I had him at 8:30 in the morning and it was torture. Stay away... far away.

Everyone says that he is hard but I found him reasonable. His reading assignment covered whole book but it is doable. He gave a final and a midterm exam which was fair; 2 Policy memos 3-4pages each but they are easy to do (not a big deal if you ARE a college student). A research and participation. I got an A in the class & i hardly broke a sweat.

This class was awful. Gives a ton of reading assignments, and makes you keep a weekly journal on them. Gives about 3 papers. There's 2 tests, and they are hard. He loves to talk about anything and everything in the world - loves to hear his own voice. Talks are all over the place and hard to follow. Don't take him unless you have to.

Is unable to keep the class within the allotted time. Frequently goes past when class is over, and doesn't give it a second thought. Talks a lot about extra credit assignments, very little discussion from the books. Bottom line: Don't take this professor unless you prefer to educate yourself instead of leaving that up to him.

Class was pretty boring, he was a little unclear and got off topic. The grading was tough. He does let you know what the tests are on ahead of time, but the questions are intense. Takes preparation to do well and there is a long paper. Overall okay class.

Peterson is a great professor. I've had him for 3 classes and each class is better than the next. He does favor you if you are in the Model UN Club but it's very easy to do well in his classes if you just show up and pay attention. He knows a lot and you always walk out of his classes knowing new things.

worst class and worst prof ever...he does not teach, all he does is talk about extra credit events and everything else that has nothing to do with the class, assigns readings that he doesnt go over, you have to keep a journal just avoid him at all costs

This guy you could tell loves to talk. He covers everything that is going on in the world, even if it is not related to the reading. He loves to go off on tangents but its fun to participate, the final and mid term are easy, just talk to someone who had him. You don't have to read all of the readings there are alot, but read a lil for the tests.

Peterson is one of the most boring professors I have ever had. He talks about irrelevant things for the entire class period, and he is unbelievably boring. You will have no idea what to study for either of his tests. WASTE OF TIME!!
