Comment:

Dr. Tsoukas has been one of my favorite professors at state. His class is by no means easy, but he understands students have other classes. Pay attention during lectures and take good notes. Pop quizzes frequently, but should be easy if you pay attention. Ask him questions after class if you're confused, he's very approachable. I learned so much.

Very hard to fallow. If you understands his logic in lectures take him. but otherwise do not take this class. tests are extremely hard and he doesn't really curve the grades.

Avoid him. How he determines point values is on the fly and arbitrary. His questions aren't always clear (to your detriment). Even a loss of 1 point on the presentation or final can have drastic results(a 3/5 might not seem bad, but he scales it up to 12/20, which will kill your grade just like that. Everything else could be perfect).

People who complain about CT, his teaching, or his class are people who SHOULDN'T be taking the class in the first place. It's an upper-div/grad level course for those wanting in-depth knowledge of immuno. Of COURSE it's hard. If you're not gung-ho about it or can't handle it, DON'T TAKE THE CLASS. CT is a great teacher and knows his sh*t.

He is the best professor I have had at SDSU. He really cares about the students. He gave SO much extra credit (bonus points). This was only for those who actually showed up to class, though. If you go to class and pay attention you don't even need to read the book. He makes it clear to what he will be testing on.

Prof. Tsoukas is definitly a challenging teacher, but at the end of the course if you go to class and keep up with the readings you will find that you have learned a lot. This is an upper division bio course so you should expect that you need to put in some extra time for a good grade. Best advice for course: GO TO CLASS!!

This is the most horrible class that I've taken in college. The average on the exams was 60%, and there was no curve. He assigned a crazy amount of readings since his exams were written from it. Never knew what might be on the exams since he went all over the places. Way too much tough material for a 3-unit class. You will end up w/C or D,for sure.

Avoid this man at all cost or you will end up with a C or D. I studied my ass off and all I got is a freaking C. The average on his stupid exams is a D, and he didn't curve. He requires many foolish extra readings from BB and some lamest papers that nobody has no idea about. Hey I'm not a medical or graduate student so give me a break, please !!!

This is a worst professor I ever had. Way too much material for a 3-unit class. His ppt is useless since it has only pictures and all he did was to talk about it. Lecture way too fast so I couldn't write down everything. His grading curve is insane, 96% to get A, I wish I could have half of his brain to have 90%. Avoid him at all cost. Sucker !

He's a nice teacher but something wrong with his lecture style. He talks so fast so I can't write down everything he said in class. He only posts many pictures on his ppt and talks about it. Way too much material for the exam. His grading curve is insane, 96% to get an A. Yeah,right?. Who in the world can get that grade on the exam?.Avoid him.

Avoid this professor. You learn a lot but you will not get the grade you deserve. On average expect to receive one letter grade lower than what you normally average at this level of study, or worse. I graduated summa****laude last semester and the only C on my transcripts from state was from him. It was not for lack of effort either.

Exams are tough but EC helps. Lots of material but it is one of the more interesting courses. The comprehensive final was insane. Tsoukas reminds me of Andy Cauffman on the show Taxi. He has a funny accent, nice guy though.

Very, very general and monotone in his lectures. Study guides and review sessions are USELESS for tests, which are a waste of time. Exams are very difficult because he tries to make all the answers similar. Wait for a different prof. to teach this one!!

Tsoukas was probably the best science prof. I've had at SDSU because he's so clear and straight forward. He's very fair in regards to giving extra credit opportunities, but he expects you to know the material. I highly recommend this class.

He is an excellent teacher who makes the concepts understandable. Watch out for those pop questions before class! Tests were very detailed, but as long as you study you'll do fine.
