Taking this beginning photography class with Costa was really fun cause he will be there to guide you if you ask any questions. He gives you great feedback on how your prints look, ways to improve and techniques, etc. You will be working on a semester long project with 10 prints, he would critique you in front of the whole class.

Costa is simply amazing. One of the absolute best professors in Binghamton. Genuinely cares for his students and always has fun. I always looked forward to his class and that is why I am taking a class with him again this semester. He is so inspiring and has a real passion for photography. Definitely take a class with him if you can, he is the BEST

Beginning photography was a fantastic course and Costa was a great professor. By the end of the course I knew a lot about photography, photo-developing, and printing. You really get the basics down pat and Costa guides you through all of it. Besides sometimes being a little moody, hes a great guy with a great passion for helping students grow.

I personally thought his class was fun, and pretty easy. Yes, you do have to put in outside hours, but that is to be expected with any art class. He tells you exactly what he wants from you, and is always available to help. It's amazing how much progress his students make in one semester.

Costa is a hardass, and yes, is prone to moodyness. He takes no crap. But if you really want to get good, and i mean really, he'll light a fire under your bottom. He's particularly good at finding students' strength and pushing them towards it. I am about to become a photo teacher thanks to Costa.

The class is great, I would recommend taking it to learn more about photography, but the prof is horrible! Moody and pretentious, and extremely biased with grading. I dont think he was ever cut out for teaching. To this day, even his name makes me angry..
