Great teacher! Her class was fun and not too demanding. There were only about 4 papers that were officially graded. The rest were just feedback, which she does well. Would love to take her again.

Comment:

Ms. Ventura is one of the kindest professors at VC! She really goes beyond lectures and really tries to get students to think differently and she really is there for anyone struggling. She grades a little more on the tough side but not too bad, if you put in effort she will notice and grade accordingly. I'd take another class from her if I could!

Such a great professor! Sometimes assignments can be confusing but she's always eager to clarify and extend due dates if necessary. Very caring professor would definitely take again. Only 2 essays the rest is 2 group projects. Overall a pretty easy class!

Great professor! She definitely makes you work for your grade, but an A is possible if you're wiling to put in the effort. Goes above and beyond to help her students and gets to know everyone on a first name basis. She is truly great and extremely kind!

Terrible. Period. She doesn't explain things clearly, she is extremely biased, if you ask for help, she'll maybe explain it very vaguely. She is a very smart woman but she talks to you like you are dumb and she is above you. I advise not to take this class unless you actually KNOW how to already write essays.

Words cannot describe this woman..... She is by far one of the most caring professors at VC. She makes sure that you get her personal cell phone plus email in case if you need any help. She even went out of her way when I has a personal problem to make sure that I didn't fall behind. You cannot go wrong taking her because she is so dedicated

Ms. Ventura is one of the best professors I have had at the college. She brought out the best in me and taught me how to write better than when I entered the class. She is wonderful but don't expect favoritism, you have to do your work to get a good grade.

Deborah was great! She answered absolutely any questions that anyone had. She is very clear on all of the assignments and does not make you feel like you dont know anything. She is funny and treats everyone as her kids, its quite funny actually. She can be a little strict sometimes, but it is all for good. You can't go wrong with her! =)

She is VERY attentive, funny and cheerful. She is excited about the course, she will help you to get as much knowledge as possible out of her class, and she persuades critical thinking. The most important thing in this class is having your own ideas and being able to back up your ideas with the facts. I am very happy to be in this class.

Prior to her class, I struggled to understand the works and words of key writers. Now, two weeks shy of finalizing the semester, I can happily say that I will be reading Shakespeare for ever. D.V made him accessible and fun to read, she has succeeded in explaining the most difficult writer in the English tongue.Take her class = Love your Language.

D.Ventura is a great teacher.She's such a sensitive & loving lady. When i had a personal issue she was the one I went to to get reassurance. I love her dearly.
