Professor Salesa was an excellent lecturer. His lecturers were very interesting and insightful. He's a really smart guy and makes you think deeper about history than most other professors. Also, his New Zealand accent is interesting so you don't fall asleep, and he's a pretty handsome man so your eyes don't hurt. I definitely recommend him.

Damon was a pretty sweet teacher. Above all, he is really, really smart and taught students to examine history from a philosophical prospective. Sometimes I left his class thinking, man, I never taught about it like that before. Only bad thing, he doesn't always answer email.

Great teacher, really interesting lecturer. Very helpful as all the lectures are posted on slides online. Additional readings are fairly interesting. The grading is pretty fair and on the easy side. He is also very cute with a great New Zealand accent.

Gorgeous! Uses powerpoint for every lecture, very easy to follow. The texts were a little bit boring, but they became more interesting towards the end of the class. Grades fairly, just wants students to think. Did i mention he was good looking?

Prof Salesa is cool, I really didnt learn much from the class. The student presentations suck. I would rather have wanted him to teach the whole class instead of breaking it up into to student presentations. I didnt like the grading scale either. 2 papers are worth 40 percent of your grade and 3 quizes 20 percent and 20 percent 10/10 participat

I think Salesa's a great guy and very easy to talk to, he really challenged our minds. I didn't learn much from the student presentations, but I do appreciate his intent to make each student reach beyond the class. Oh, and his accent is not from Australia, seeing as he grew up in New Zealand and got a 'doctorate' at Oxford.

this class was the biggest waste of time ever. i did not learn one thing. he "lectured" for the first 3 weeks, and the rest of the time were student presentations, which he didnt even complete. i would not recommend this class to anyone wanting to learn about history. it was basically a class to bash western policy in the pacific.
