He was one of the WORST math teachers have ever had! He has no desire to help students, never gives specific examples, always gives homework problems irrelevant to the lesson and never lets students out of class on time. If you have to work after class don't plan on being in time. He rambles on for hours about irrelevant boring things in a failed attempt to make problems seem relevant. If you have any hopes of passing--hire a tutor! Seriously...

I was incredibly lucky with the timing of when I went to school at Germanna as I was able to take classes with Daniel Ross right before he retired. Thankfully for all of you, there is news that he is returning for one or two classes! Ross is one of the best professors I have ever had. For the first time since grade school I've "gotten" math.

Simply put, Ross is boss! His extraordinary teaching skills are the only reason I managed to not only pass, but to succeed in a higher level math course. On a personal level, Daniel Ross is a great guy, and can be very funny when given his moments! Sadly, he is retiring, and I pity my friends who will have to take math without Ross' guidance.

Mr. Ross is extremely nice and very helpful! He shows a lot of patience with slower students, and has hilarious anecdotes! I recommend Mr. Ross to anyone who doesn't "get" or like math; he'll make it easy and maybe even fun for you.

Ross is a fantastic teacher! He makes sure everyone understands whats going on & is interested in your success. He teaches formula short cuts & presents math in a way that you can actually use it. If you've been out of school for a while, this is definitely the teacher you want! If you haven't been out of school, this is the teacher you want!

Dan Ross is awesome! You MUST be willing to do your homework and get tutoring if necessary. Math is one of those pro-active courses, and in the end, you either know it or you don't. He knows who is a b'ser and who is really trying. I found him to be one of the best teachers I've ever had at both the community or university level.

He is a VERY good teacher...he goes very slow and makes sure everyone understands, he always answers questions...and 1/2 the class time was going over homework that people didn't understand...I DEFINATELY recommend him...Hes a good guy and pretty easy!

Ross does not listen to or answer any questions, he is too broad, he does not care about his students anymore than he cares about the gum on his shoe. NOT RECOMMENDED!!! If you get him as a professor - RUN
