Really engaging with the material with a very strong passion for the subject and for teaching. Extensive background in the material aided his explanations as he was able to describe things in very effective ways and was always able to answer questions. Great prof

Dan is the only thing that made this class bearable. Very knowledgable, kind, and understanding, however the midterm will throw you for a loop, am expecting the final to be the same. For the amount of detail & information he wants you to know, it would be better if the exams were multiple choice. GEOG majors: don't recommend unless ur in Physical.

Dan is a really nice guy who is super passionate about what he teaches. He's a great lecturer which is important for a course like Geomorphology which not a subject everyone may find as exciting. Exams are all short answer/long answer so you have to really understand the concepts taught.

Great prof and great guy. His lectures were great but most of his slides are basically just wikipedia articles which I was a little bit bummed on. Study the lectures and then reinforce that with the textbook and you'll do great.

Dr. Smith is a good guy. Labs were easy. Mid term was alright but final was hard. His exams are all written but the questions were usually the main points or terms but it is a lot of writting

Friendly guy. Exams were A LOT of writing and definitions. He likes to look at the big pictures and doesn't test on silly little details.
