I took Prof Lowe in Fall 17. Great professor. TAKE ADVANTAGE OF HER OFFICE HOURS, THEY ARE EXTREMELY USEFUL, AND SHE BREAKS DOWN INFORMATION FOR YOU SO YOU CAN UNDERSTAND THE MATERIAL. Review the lecture videos , they are great for reinforcement. Very caring about your grade.

i just love this prof. very clear instructions, she wants you to get A. she prepares student for masters by giving research paper and presentation, and we get full grades on it . not easy A prelabs, post labs, research work, but easy just go through the after class recording.

Micro is not as easy subject, so skipping class is not the best idea. She records all of her lectures and posts them so you can review with them. She does not give you a review for the tests so basically study everything she talks about. Her tests have no surprises on them so she is very fair.

She's a great professor. She really cares about her students. Yes, you have to put work into the class, but it is not anything outside of the ordinary. If you know the material, then you will do fine on the tests. If you don't, you're in trouble. It's a science course; you have to read and study to get an A.

I didn't buy the book but she refers to a lot of things from the text book during the lecture classes. There's A LOT of studying involved. Her exams aren't the easiest but if you study, you'll pass. Her exams are heavily based on the lectures so get ready to take some good notes! She's very caring and is always willing to help her students.

Yes it is a lot of stuff on your own at times but she has such a passion for the topics and she genuinely cares about her students and it definitely shows. Lab book is required for purchase and labs are grade as pass/fail. 4 tests and she discusses each topic. She give two 4-Page papers on interesting topics so it was very easy to write

I took this course as a hybrid. You're teaching yourself all the material, so if bio doesn't come easy to you, choose a different professor. Heavy homework, you gotta keep up or you will not pass. Oftentimes we'll do labs on topics we haven't even read about in the book yet. Despite all these things, I found this class to be fun and interesting.

Professor Lowe is the best professor I've had in college so far. She's a wonderful teacher, helpful person, and makes the day's lesson very interesting and easy to understand. She gives a good amount of work but if you work hard and pay attention in her class you'll do very well.

The class is definitely not easy. There is a lot of work. I took her for hybrid and since half the class is online, she gives forums you need to participate for it. Labs are due every week, quizzes are every week, there are only four tests. There are two papers that are five pages long.

She is the best! yes she can really intimidate you the very first day when she gives a quiz on things you are "suppose" to know already but other than that she is Great! Quizzes every day(does not grade them) only to keep you on your toes and it works, 3 test ( Tough) 1 reseach paper. Labs are hard but you learn so much! Very smart and funny. TAKE!

Having Mrs. Lowe as a professor she was really nice and helpful. Although, with the work and assignments she would hand out were stressful and difficult because she would give out tons of work. Especially when she would give quizzes and tests they were super hard. The same with labs they would be difficult as well and class is super long 11-1:30.

This lady knows her stuff, however, if science isn't your thing, I WOULDN'T take her. She knows everything there is to know, and she expects you to. I'm sure she's great if science is your major, but if you are taking a gen ed, i would stay far away from her. Class isn't so bad but there is a lot of work!! and I payed $60 for a book i didnt use

She's got a great grading system (points accumulation), so do well on you labs, homework, discussions, papers, and attend every class! You can do iffy on you exams and still pull above a B if you do everything else. She's very nice and gives the benefit out the doubt when needed. Don't abuse it though because she's not dumb!
