Amazing professor. Knows the subject matter in and out, and includes recent studies in lectures to keep you updated. Explains concepts in detail. There are things from Ochem that didn't make sense to be but Dr. E made those concepts crystal clear. It all began to make sense. He helps in every possible way to see you succeed. I hope he gets a Nobel.

There is a lot of material, but the bare minimum to pass lies in all the lectures done in class accompanied by the slides. If you cover your lecture notes that have the topics that are going to be on the test , you will pass. The sample exams are very helpful too so look at those since they look a lot like the real ones. Go to office hours too.

Very clear with what will be on the test but he does include a munch of material that will not be on the test. Lectures and grading is very fair and he is clear about what is expected. Class is hard but he does his best to make it manageable and interesting.

Dr. Eggers is probably the best teacher I have taken at SJSU. He is VERY clear on what he wants us to know for each exam and you MUST put in work and study if you want to pass the class. He always cracks little jokes here and there, which keeps us awake! Loved his class and I'm sad he's leaving after this semester

He is INCREDIBLY clear! I've seriously not had an instructor that was more clear than this guy. He tells you exactly what's going on in a reaction and whether it's an important topic or not. His demeanor probably raised me by a letter grade.

Dr. Eggers is so helpful! He adds flair to lectures and gives extra credit at the end of the semester. His teaching is clear, and it's helpful to have past exams. Memorize those amino acids! The book isn't really needed unless you want an A. *He loves talking about WATER and how it changes the chemistry of everything!
