Nice and knowledgeable professor. Weekly online simulations, In-Class Midterm and Finals, 1 Group project and 20 page paper. Not difficult if some effort is put into the class. Your grade will mostly be based on Exams and Project.

Very nice man & very knowledgeable in international markets. There is a midterm and final that consist of definitions from the chapters if you study it should be very straight forward and simple. One individual project and one group project. Do not use laptops or be on your phone it is very disrespectful to him just pay attention during his lecture

Has a good hold on the subject concepts. Lectures are bundled with real life examples & videos which are very useful to apply the course concepts in the real world. Provides good feedback on projects.

Literally just reads off the slides the entire time does not want students to use laptops at all during class. If you have a question about the project he refers you to the textbook. I asked both in email and in person about channel distribution and all i got was go to textbook page 433. You will do pretty well if you just study his power point

Comment:

Gives no homework, assigns one paper due at the end of the semester. Mid-term & Final are the biggest risks, if you are bad at taking tests than find another professor. Lazy in grading materials and expect a lot of powerpoint & videos. None of which we go over in class. READ READ READ the textbook and never feel comfortable in class to pass.

Gertner is a very good professor. He grades fairly and his exams are lined out pretty accurately, so you know what to expect. The only drawback is that he has a thick accent. Class consists of a midterm, final, individual and group project. Put the effort in and you'll do well. Highly recommend.

Comment:

Prof Gertner teaches using powerpoint slides and clips of commericals. Sometimes it gets a bit boring but hey don't all classes. In the class you are required to do one 5 minute individual presentation, 15 minute group presentation, midterm, and final. I would recommend this prof. He cares about his students and grades fair.

I have taken three classes with this professor and I am extremely satisfied. He knows his subject and he is always well-prepared. If you work you can get an A. The people that wrote the previous comments probably never made an effort to attend the class and maybe got a B- or C...

ok the truth...he is a very nice man who is willing to help students and cares about edu, knows all the students names. however, he does use ppt slides from the text for the entire 2 1/2 hours.He cannot teach very well b/c students need their minds stimulated besides slides.the ppt is 70 slides long and he usu goes until the end.nice man borin clas

This is one of the worst professors that I have ever had. Talk about no prep work prior to class. This professor uses the ppt slides from the text, and he's never seen the slides prior to presenting them to class. Not only this, but he is completely clueless as it pertains to grading. The biggest waste of money and time I have ever experienced.

This is one of the best professor's you will ever take. If you have a choice defintely take him, he knows alot about the subject matter and is very excited about teaching in general. He is also very respectful towards all students as well as sincere This will be one of the best things you do as an MBA student.

Prof. Gertner is one of the most caring and straightforward people I have ever met. VERY LENIENT GRADER, and knows a lot about marketing. Class can be long with PPTs but also watch videos and do case studies. Has respect for every student which is something we all should appreciate. You da man Gertner!
