Very accessible professor. Web-based homework (graded) and exams were tough. Read textbook and understand example problems from text BEFORE you go to lecture. Follow his study suggestion, work the problems and you should do well.

He's a nice guy, but not a great professor. He does an example problem on the board, then makes a mistake, so he has to fix it and I have to go back and fix it in my notes. Going to class confused me more from all the mistakes he makes. His exams and homework are VERY hard. Multiple students complained and many curves were given.

He tries to help you as much as he can, and even stays after class to go over homework problems. He curves the tests a crazy amount, so the only way to fail is to get nearly every question wrong. If you are unwilling to go to class and do the homework then you wont be successful regardless of the teacher. Miller is a great professor, an easy A! :)

Had him for calc 1 as a freshman and was pretty difficult. It was obvious he knew his stuff but had some trouble explaning it during class. Very helpful with homework questions, the lab part was pretty much a study hall for homework. Curves all the exams. I liked him, he's kinda goofy. And sweats a lot?Not sure why...

This class is a challenge, but I learned a ton. He simplified hard subjects in a way for us to understand better. Boring class but if you pay attention, you can learn quite a bit. Homework is due weekly and you also have to do online work but it helps a lot. Tests are pretty fair. Best math teacher I've ever had.

Moron. He messes up so much its crazy!Uses the hardest examples possible in lecture, then puts them on the tests.Talks too softly.Trys to sounds smart instead of speaking clearly.Nice guy tho.Lab is a waste.Better off watching Patrick JMT on Youtube!Crossing my fingers he curves enough that i can pass!WSU math is such a FAIL oh and he sweats like mad

Dr. Miller is a great teacher. Yes, he makes mistakes but that's because he comes up with some of his examples on the fly such as when someone asks a question. He curves the grades if he needs to which is nice. He doesn't give you an A, so be prepared to do a lot of work, but he's pretty funny which is pretty cool for a math class.

Very good teacher. He definitely knows his math. Like all math classes, there is only so many problems a teacher can do. He is very helpful, but you need to ask. Do the homework. It will help you a lot. I believe he understands the hardship of math for some individuals, so he curves his tests. I am glad I took his class unlike some others.

Mr. Miller is a nice guy, but he is unprepared for every class and is very confusing. He messes up quite often. This was my first calc class and he did not explain anything and did not go over homework. I am very disappointed that I wasted hard earned money and this is the professor that I got. Asked questions with an answer of "hold that thought"

Miller is actually quite a decent teacher over at that math department. He is VERY helpful at his office hours and is quite clear when it comes to explanations. Lecture can be a little helter skelter but very reasonable. Since homework is worth a test grade, make sure to do it well as it can make a letter grade difference.

Dr. Miller is a brilliant professor. He's well prepared for every class and also explain things very well. His notes are MOSTLY linear, so that helps a lot. He's also lenient on grades. He's extremely helpful and also very nice. Do your homework and study, you'll be fine. If you find Dr. Miller hard, try Svobodny and you'll appreciate Dr. Miller

Miller is a very good math instructor. His lectures are very clear and the examples are easy to understand. The only caveats are that he is ocassionally forgetful and his voice is so low you can barely hear him, if at all. However, he is still the teacher to get if you're taking Trig.

This professor is ok. I would not want to take him if I had never been introduced to calculus before. He starts with difficult problems to intoduce something and then makes a mistake in the problem. He then attempts to go back through and fix his mistake and confuses most of the class. He is not very well prepared.

This professor is one of the best math professors at WSU. He expects people to do there work and show up for class. If you study you will do well. Test are hard, but he helps out with a very generous curve unlike some professors. Highly recommended.

In my opinion Dr. Miller is a VERY dangerous prof to take. He's the type that is easy and doesn't explain things very well. Which is fine if the tests and grading are easy. BUT the exams are hard and long. He comes to class unprepared for lecture and has muffed SEVERAL examples on the board. If you can take another prof do so. If not you'll live.

He means well, really. He's just very scatterbrained. He'll spend 10 minutes searching a problem for a missed negative sign. He curves tests and is very available to help.

I loved Dr. Miller. He teaches thoroughly, going into details to prove and illustrate his points, which I liked. He provided clear examples in lecture and was good at explaining the rationale behind theories, not just barking off formulas. His tests are very reasonable, and he's a very fair man. He made Calc 4 enjoyable for me.

If you put effort into his class, you will do well. He is helpful in office hours and understands that students can have a bad day. If you do poorly on one test, but do well on the final, he will reward you for it. I almost failed a midterm, but aced the final and wound up with an A in the class.
