A strong professor overall. I had him for a seminar which involved a lot of reading. He worked closely with us to prepare our final projects. His in-class discussions were probably the best I've had in four years of history, but that might be the subject matter as well.

Wonderful teacher, very clear and to the point. His lectures were really interesting and you learn a lot! Difficult exams though and lots of readings, but it's worth it

Not the most interesting lecturer, but well-organized and clearly passionate about Latin American history. I am much more interested in the subject after taking his course. One caveat: although he is a fair marker his exams are still pretty brutal.

Tough class, but Parker is so helpful, which makes up for it. He made accommodations for the final exam, and generally tried his best to help students out, and utilized moodle well. Exams were difficult, and getting a good mark requires a lot of understanding of some of the smaller details, but he's a great prof so it's a course worth taking!

His lectures were very clear, however he goes pretty fast, luckily the information in the lecture is very similar to the readings and therefore you can find out what you missed. Fair marker and tries to make things, like exams, accomodating for most.

AWESOME PROF! This guy makes a subject I never thought I could like, Latin American history, fascinating. He is a confident and well organized lecturer and the readings he selected were good overall, some were excellent. His marking is very fair and he writes a lot of comments. He's always happy, and willing to help you out during office hours.
