Pretty straightforward, really nice professor. She's willing to talk with you and explain things if necessary, although her voice sometimes can make you drowsy, her lectures are usually pretty useful and entertaining. As long as you pay a little attention you'll do fine. Fun class though.

Had guest professors every week from different departments that were enthusiastic. Amazing overall experience. Essays are a pain but only 2 required. midterm and final short answers. attendance mandatory for interactive exercises. To study just use the past practice exams and write out the essays ahead of time, then utilize them for the test.

Easiest class I ever taken. I got an A. The midterm and final are basically common sense. The study guide is very useful. The essays are easy too. I got a great TA (Robert). He's a easy grader because his student's mean of their exams and essays were higher than the other TA's students. Robert only teach in the morning (8am and 9am).

This class was cool but I really didn't learn a whole lot. Discussion was a total waste but you had to attend. I would have liked to have seen a greater focus on the current events concerning wildlife conservation, such as the Gulf Oil Spill. Overall, easy class.

Elliot-Fisk is an adorable lady who really knows her stuff about wildlife, conservation, etc... She's super helpful if you just talk to her. Lectures are fun in that 3/4 of the time we have a guest lecturer who specialized in one field or another. All in all she is great as is this course. Take it and you won't regret it!

Great teacher. Likes students and interaction. Labs are helpful, field trips frequent and awesome, and lectures are long but very qualitative instead of quantitative. Tests are all short/answer essay format but most students don't have a problem with it. No textbook! But lots of supplemental reading assigned from different sources; very cool.

She was one of the easiest teachers I've had at Davis. Her tests are super short and easy to study for. The field trip essays aren't bad either.

Class has lots of field trips. She is a very easy grader. Reading was not necessary to do well in the class. Just focus on the notes. Lots of information covered in the class, but luckily exams are short essay and you get to choose which ones to answer. Good teacher overall. In class labs were disorganized and frustrating though.
