Comment:

Ms. Kraut is a great teacher; everyone should take this class. She grades heavily on participation because it's how she sees if you're following and understanding the material. Study for exams because there are some difficult questions. -It's easy to get confused with syntactic, pragmatic, and semantic definitions. Absolutely loved this class! :)

Comment:

Excellent professor. 5 exams and final! Reading, taking notes and studying is the key to an A. Take advantage of working on the project she assigns since it helps to boost your grade. Highly recommend to take this class if you're a communication studies major or sociology major.

Comment:

Kraut is really sweet and is very knowledgeable. She makes you do outlines on each chapter and you must read the chapters in depth to do well on the exams. She pin points the strangest details out of each concept sometimes. Only thing is sometimes the exam comes way to fast after only reviewing for 2 days for long chapters. Good class though!

She clearly enjoys teaching and takes great pride in helping her students to pass. You will fall in love with the course simply because she is so passionate and also so inspiring. The class ends up being your favorite of the day with the sense of comfort you feel when entering. However, be ready to learn because she is ready to teach! StudyPass

She was a little ditzy and couldn't get a few name pronunciations by the end of the semester but I knew she meant well. Exams are easy, you just have to study. She genuinely wants you to learn the concepts and be a better communicator. Overall, I really enjoyed this class. Only downfall was not being able to choose your own group for the projects.

She is an AMAZING professor. Genuinely cares about her students and is very clear in her lectures. attendance is mandatory, but it helps to be in class. She goes over the chapters in class which makes it easy to pass her exams. Over all an easy class, and an even more interesting and enjoyable class. I highly recommend this class.

I LOVE MRS.KRAUT!! She is so funny and sweet. We use the textbook alot, so make sure to always bring it with you! Tests are kind difficult, so its important to study. Do the outline she gives for each chapter. Its important. She goes over the chapter the next class. Attendance is mandatory.

Professor Kraut genuinely wants all of her students to succeed not only in her class but also in life. Read the book, take notes, and participate in class and you’ll quickly find your way to an A. 4 exams, 2 projects (1 individual/1 group), and a cumulative final. 4 test which include your mid term and final, 3-4 very easy speeches. All test are multiple choice and true/false. Book not needed just pay attention when she goes over the Chptrs in class. I never purchased the book and got an A. Over all easy class and a fair grader. She's cancels class if it falls on a Jewish Holiday.

Mrs. Kraut is the most awesome teacher I ever took in Smc. I may not like talking in front of the class but she helped me gain my confidence. She was very helpful and taught very clear. The most pure,kind, and helpful I've been taught by so far! She smiles and always willingfully assists you with ANYTHING and will make time just for you. I received an A because she constantly promotes you to do well. One 26 Q quiz, one 50 Q midtern, 1 final, and 4 speeches. Professor Kraut will not fail you, she did not for me.

I'll be honest; this class is designed to be easy. Many different types of students take it, and therefore the tests are insanely easy, and projects as well. I am a fairly intelligent student, but not a genius. I got A's on the test without studying...She is also very nice. Take her.

A nice, old Jewish lady who wants someone to talk to. Raise your hand/smile and she will think the world of you. Attendance is HUGE, so be on time. 3 tests 2 group projects and final. The class can be tedious at times, but if you have an interest in this subject there is nothing stopping you.

Professor Kraut is an easy grader, really fun and easy going person.Her lectures are sometimes helpful but you do have to read the book in order to succeed. Be always on time, attendance counts points!! By the end of the course you`ll have learned how to bild a speech and also how approach a variety audience.
