VERY fair grader, 0.1 percent bias ? , an easy 300 teacher, easy A. follow her A rules, then you will get an A. do not try to absence more than 3 classes, you lose points on those.

Comment:

This is a fairly easy class but she takes forever to grade your papers. It's frustrating when you don't know what you got on a previous paper because you can't improve and fix it on your next paper. I asked for help a couple of times and she just basically said my grade was fine and didn't help me. I tried to get an A but didn't know where I stood.

The class it self was great but she never graded anything. When we took our finals she still hadn't even graded our first essays. I didn't feel I deserved the "B" I got so I feel like she just put a grade to get it done.

She's a pretty average professor, as far as they go. Don't shirk homework assignments or you'll find yourself in the red. Take extra-credit if she offers it. Vocabulary is pretty easy if you're a reader, but the Master Reader book is a bit harder to wrap your head around, so remember to take notes.

She is a very nice woman, and extremely helpful. However, if you expect prompt grading you are out of your mind. She rarely returns graded papers with commentary and when she does it is months afterwards. But, she is willing to answer any questions, and she is very knowledgeable.

I loved this teacher! As long as you study for the midterm and final and do all your work on time and try your best you will get a high grade, she always makes sure students understand concepts and she is an easy grader. She accepts all views on everything and never puts anyone down, I highly recommend this teacher.

Boring. Didn't grade assignments for MONTHS (seriously). Has a great ability to ramble on about nothing. I really enjoyed the books she chose..just not the professor. Plus, she gives you very little time to complete assignments but then does not grade them until the end?? And gives very little time to read difficult novels.

I love English but this was the most boring English Class I have ever had. I thought it was really easy but maybe that's because I like English. At the end of the semester half the class had dropped out. I would suggest trying to find another teacher but she's not a bad teacher just boring.

I liked her summer class. I have heard complaints from class members but honestly her class atmosphere sparked a desire in me to write and encouraged me to write on things that mattered to me. I really liked her teaching style.

I took her summer class and it was pretty hard because of the intensity(an essay a week!!). It had a free Harvard philosophy class intertwined into parts of it, which made it challenging, but very rewarding. Overall a very nice teacher I enjoyed the class. If you aren't a strong writer to begin with, I recommend taking ENGWR101-you will need it.

She has high expectations, so not an easy A. The reading in the class is difficult and time consuming and thought provoking. Prof DLK wants you to get good grades but doesn?t give them easily so work hard. She is approachable and will preview your Essays to help you gain a better perspective for a "A" grade, she takes forever to grade papers.

EVIL TEACHER!!! EVIL!!! I had her for 2 classes and hated both. I'm a huge English person, but she was an aweful teacher. She never gave feedback and then told us at the end of the class that we'd all get A's, so long as we'd shone up and done the rest of the work. (This was the only good thing about both of the classes.) Didn't learn ANYTHING!!!!!

DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS!! Granted that she is a very nice person, she is the worst teacher I have ever had. I did not learn anything, and received feedback on one assignment only the entire semester. At the end she told us we all would just get A's for completing the work(which was the only good thing about the class). Super boring as well.

This is a horrible teacher to take! She NEVER grades anything and you wont know how your essays are or how you are writing until the last week of the semster. Then you have to fix them ALL, so you can get a good grade. Did not teach me anything, until 2 nights before the final, then she finally taught how to revise our essays! Stupid!

I highly recommend taking a class from Professor Larry-Kearney. After completing her Fiction Writing Workshop, I came out knowing so much more about myself and my writing style. She's also very kind and approachable if you ever need to ask for help. The only downside was that it took a while to get papers back from her, but overall it was great!

good teacher. like everyone else says, respectable. Very personable, knows everyone by their name. only flaw is that s he NEVER grades anything. It's two weeks to the end of the semester and there's at least 10 assignments that haven't been graded yet. She does however let you turn in work over e-mail, and late without knocking points off.
