Dr. Zellner's class was a 2 1/2 hour long lecture about herself... It was obvious she never had a lesson planned and would spend majority of class talking about herself and her research without relating it back to what we we were learning. An extremely tough grader and when you email her, her replies are often useless. DONT TAKE HER CLASS.

Attendance isn't mandatory, but if you don't show up, you won't pass. Her class is very lecture heavy. She is a very tough grader, I took such detailed notes and would study for hours, but even that didn't help me. She failed me on multiple tests and wouldn't respond when I asked why or for help.

Must Attend to class, MUST PAY ATTENTION and if you're one of the students who skip class just because, don't bother taking this course. The book is not too expensive $90 or less, record her lectures(permission) and given study guide(30+ Q's). Do it before the review day! Exam is consist of 5Q's. 2 short end/ 2 long end/ 1 EC. No Hw or quiz. Good L

Comment:

Zellner is great for PSYC 203. She seems meaner than she actually is (probably to make sure students won't blow off her class), but she is professional and sometimes brings humor into her lecture. Attendance is optional but lectures are worth going to! She is a fair grader. Homework was consistent,but never too much to handle. Good teacher overall.

She knows very well the class topics. But she is extremely hard grader, takes points off of everything, doesnt give extra credit. She is not too helpful with the one on one meetings with students. Also she is the ONLY one who gives this class. PLEASE dont take her! It would ruin your GPA!

Ridiculously hard! I am a double major student and I am also on dean's list. I'm saying these things because I want you to know what you're getting yourselves into by taking her class! I dropped this class after the first exam because she takes points off for EVERYTHING and final grade is only made up of the 3 quizzes, no assignments/participation.

Don't take her. She knows her stuff & in theory brings a lot to the table, but her teaching methods are horrible. She doesn't respect her students & is just rude. When the students fail her exams she blames the students. Although this is a motivation class, it's ironic because in no way is she motivating & just encourages dropping out of her class.

Honestly, do no take her! She may be knowledgable but her teaching methods are horrible. She doesn't respect her students and she is just rude. When the students fail her exams she blames us and basically called us stupid. She goes over the material way to fast aDO NOT TAKE HER CLASS! IF IT IS THE LAST OPTION TAKE A SUMMER CLASS. SHES HORRIBLE!!!!

I wish there was a tab that says dreadful. Please save your soul. Just forget you even looked at this course let alone even considered taking it. She will motivate you to drop out. Do yourself a favor & save your hard work and most importantly your GPA, because you WILL fail & she will NOT care nor do anything to help you. She teaches a motivation class but ironically does NOTHING to motivate you. Does NOTHING to truly help her students & you should save your time and energy before asking for extra help because she is Satan.

I honestly never even got around to taking the class based on an e-mail she sent in response to a question my first impression was that she does not encourage her students and probably won't help if you fall behind. That being said I found it ironic that she teaches a motivation class. Probably not the best choice if you aren't the perfect student.

I did not complete professor zellner's course. I decided to drop her before it was too late reading these comments and from a bit of my own experience. I decided to drop her after the first exam. Nobody passed except for one kid. She is very vague on how she wants you to answer and she will mark things wrong which are right.

Hands down the best professor I've ever had. She is the most loving, funny, energetic, and simply down to earth professor. The way she presented the material was super interesting. You must work hard though. She will not let you pass with an easy "A". She is very fair and expects her students to show up to classes and study. Take her for sure.

Comment:

It was not an easy choice picking Dr. Zellner after all the negative reviews. But I decided to take a risk.I worked hard for every exam and spent sleepless nights writing a paper and after all managed to get a good grade. At times I felt uneasy asking her questions, but at the end I learned so much from her. I highly recommend her!

For most psych majors, PSYC 203 is the first research class they take, yet she teaches it like a junior/senior level course. This wouldn't be such a problem if she actually explained the material rather than calling students incompetent when they can't complete a full detailed APA research paper using just the book for guidance.

Professor Zellener was the worst professor i have EVER HAD. i looked her up on ratemyproffessor by i choose to ignore it, HORRIBLE MISTAKE. She gives you pop quizzes at the drop of a hat on material you barely covered, and if you walked in late and missed it she gives no make up. if you try to ask a question, she treat you like an idiot
