Worst teacher ever. Rambles on all class about how bad the government is. Which has nothing to do with the tests he gives which are extremely hard. If you take this class, know you will be teaching yourself out of the book.

Needs to stop teaching. He is WAY past his prime. DO NOT TAKE. I do not know of anyone who received an A. Does not explain anything. Rambles on and on about nonsense that you will not even be tested on. If you have to take him look forward to teaching yourself!

Terrible teacher. he never reviewed for any tests and would just sit in the front of the class and lecture. He belittles students when they attempt to answer a question, and will only count it towards your participation grade if you answer it correctly. Avoid his class at all costs.

Tests are very tough - consist of about 5 or 6 essay questions. He also is a tough grader. Gives a lot of extra credit though. Class itself was awful though - he cannot hear a thing anybody says and he just rambles about why our government is so terrible the whole time

Extremely boring old man. Gives really hard tests that everyone fails. DO all the homework and type it. Offers extra credit, do every point possible. He can't hear and just rambles on. I failed every test but did homework, extra credit, and attending class and wound up with a B

His class is extemely tough to pay attention in. He really can't hear that well and goes on tangents often. Gives quite a bit of extra credit, but his tests are extemely hard. You mostly have to teach yourself. He is very knowledgeable, though.

worst teacher i have ever had. he can't really hear, so you have to practically yell when you answer a question. I have tried to ask him for help for concepts i don't understand, and he just ends up confusing me more. the workbook that he suggested does help, because some of the exam questions are from it. avoid him at all costs!

Very tough professor but i does teach a lot... try not to have this teacher in the early morning because they will either put you to sleep or you just wont want to wake up... DO THE EXTRA CREDIT!! i cant stress that enough if i would have done the extra credit i would have had an A instead of a B so it really is the difference in a grade

Mr. Soper definitely knows his material..CON:a bit dry because he reads off of powerpoints which are directly from the book. Tests are pretty difficult PRO: Gives LOTS of xtra credit opportunities,can really help ur grade out.Attend every class, participate, do all homework and all brownie points and u can end up w/ a B even if u fail every test.

Nice guy not mean. only 2 tests, a paper and a final. Homework every week or 2x a week. The homework saves your grade. very hard class because of the exams 60 questions. Final I didnt even study for because I knew i woudlnt do good. HARD CLASS!!!

Horrible man in my opinion. I am a chemistry major who can pass all my 400 level chem classes but I didnt pass his damn class- and I did the homework. Hates commuters, told me I should "get the college experience by living on campus". Commuters cant get the Wall Street Journal for the extra credit!!!! Unfair!!!!

This guy is horrible avg grade on test was a D-. I failed and even did the homework. and i never fail a class if u have him get away from him. he does give extra credit(Brownie point) but each point is only worth 1/5 a point

Yes, the tests are difficult, but do the homework and you're fine! I got D's on all tests and recieved an A in the class. Some think he's boring, but I really enjoyed this guy. One of the only college courses i've had where homework counts- very helpful! recommend
