He's about as dull as they come, but if you PAY ATTENTION, TAKE NOTES, and PRACTICE PIANO you will get at least a B. ASK QUESTIONS if you don't know what's going on and he'll try to explain it to you. If he can't. someone in class usually can and he's ok with students helping each other out. I wouldn't recommend him, but he wasn't the worst.

Great teacher, easy class. Don't buy the textbook, you won't open it even once. I paid $86 for mine and haven't touched it.

This is an easy class, even if you do not have much musical background. You have to attend 3 performances and write 3-4 page papers for each. Play 3 musical pieces, but have numerous opportunities to play & get a better grade. Test are easy, he gives you a practice test (old test) and goes over it in class. Day before test, goes over test you take

Comment:

Very nice professor for the most part. There were times when he would get frustrated and crabby with the class. He does a good job of moving the class along slowly for those with no musical background, but doesn't always explain things the best. You must attend recitals and write reviews about them, and play three piano pieces for the class.

This is one of the best teachers I have had. I went from knowing nothing at all to being able to read and play music. You have to put some effort into the class to get a good grade. He is very blunt, which is exactly what I needed to get better. Do not procrastinte in this class.

He was a super easy teacher. The tests were not hard, He gives you a practice test thats exactly the same as the real test. He reads the real test to you the day before the actual test. You need to play 3 piano pieces I have no musical past and I did it.

Super easy class, but so easy I wanted to dig my eyes out with a spoon! If you have any music experience, avoid taking this class because you might as well sleep through it. When asked a question, he either can't hear you, or he answers in metaphors. He is a nice guy and wants his students to succeed, but is awfully boring.

VERY easy class! Make sure to go to class every day and you'll do fine. He gives you a practice test (almost exactly the same as the real tests!) and goes over it so everyone knows the answers and how to get them. yes, he's boring, but it's an easy A...or B if you have a hard time picking up the piano pieces.

Terrible professor and very boring. Don't take him unless you already know how to play piano and can read music. He is not helpful at all and just expects you to "get it". Never used the book once. Attendance mandatory, have to performe 3 music pieces that he picks and you have to attend 5 musical concerts and write 3 page papers on them. Run fast!

HORRIBLE TEACHER. I dropped this class. Spends 30 out of 50 minutes talking about something completely off subject, hes usually late, and he doesn't help you, he just repeats himself. DO NOT TAKE HIM.

Still don't know what the book looks like since I never bought it. Of course I found the test very hard since he didn't teach and I didn't have a book. Writing those papers is ridiculously easy. All you have to do is put one descriptive word (adjective maybe) per paragraph. I basically just copied the thing they hand out at the performances.

One of the unfortunate teachers in the world who has lost his ability to care and be compassionate for his students. He says he loves teaching, but I think he just loves the attention he gets standing in front of a room students.

This professor was actually really well. He stuttered on some stuff and could not teach it that well. He always liked to repeat a lot of things. But the piano was easy any songs you wanted that used both hands and the concerts were easy every friday at noon go for an hour and you are good to go. really easy class just study the study guide!!!
