I would not consider myself to be an artist, but the honors art class with Professor Tarter was the highlight of my week this term. She is soft-spoken, caring, and encouraging, and you can tell she really loves what she is teaching. She is always willing to help and answer questions and even lets you stay after class to work on your assignments!

Comment:

I had her for the honors art class, which was basically a 2D design class for the honors program students. I think she's really great and helpful. She's pretty soft spoken, so it's sometimes hard to keep paying attention. I didn't like listening to her explain all these art terms and I don't think non-art majors should have to know them

Most profs. In the department are willing to help, but Diane will almost go to extremes find away to help. It is obvious, that she has such a passion for teaching and GD. One thing that truly distinguishes her from all the other staff is her compassion for her family and its flows toward her students. Diane definately knows her genre of art, not only todays technology but old school tech too! if you have the chance to take a class from Diane, TAKE IT!!!

Diane is awesome. There is no other way to describe her. She is rad from the top of her blond head all the way down to her red tennies. She loves her field and she makes her students love it too!
