Comment:

Mr. Jorgensen's class was a breeze. It was an online class and you basically read each chapter and take quizzes. Most of the quizzes can be taken more than once. You have discussions and chapter tests that are max 50 questions. He takes the highest grade in the class and uses it as 100% and that's what he bases everyone's grade off of. Easy overall

Comment:

This was an online class, but Mr.Jorgensen is very quick and thorough in his responses to inquiries. He grades on a curve, so I got an A but I had to put a lot of time and effort into it. It is worth mentioning that I took accounting twice before and had to drop because I couldn't get into it, but this class was doable. Highly recommend!!

Online class! Ok so you're pretty much on your own since it's an online class. Be prepared to make this class your priority, and to have no life. There is a lot of hw, finishing it all is the hard part, but doing it really makes it impossible for you to not get the material. I got an A but really spent a lot of time doing the work.

Online ACCT 101 is very hard and very time consuming be prepared to do about 8+ hours of homework each week to do well in this class. There's no notes to go with this class you pretty much read each chapter about 20+ pages and then answer questions sometimes over 200+ multiple choice boxes or questions per chapter. VERY TIME CONSUMING!!! DON'T TAKE

I took the 9 week class over the summer last year and it was very intense. Homework is extensive and time consuming. This class was not always easy to keep up with but if you take the time to do the assignments, you can get an A. Try to stick to the due dates and deadlines he gives, this can help you succeed in this class.

Took this class online during Sprg 2010 Semester. Difficult course that demands lots of time & attention! The material is intense (doing the homework, interactive quizzes & thoroughly reading helps) & you REALLY should follow the syllabus to the T. Not a class you want to PROCRASTINATE in. Professor is understanding & helpful...Do the EXTRA CREDIT!

I took this class online & it is extremely hard. If you're lazy don't take this class online. You'll spend double the time doing this class. We started with 50 students & now there are only 20. HARD! But he is a great teacher & put out all the resources you need to pass this class. I'm getting a B but that's because I'm not lazy.

I took this class online and I had a few problems, but he was quick to help me out. The material is very hard, you have to work really hard if you want to succeed; nontheless, you learn a lot. Be careful with the grading, because some assigments are worth more than others and a helpful tip, if your a procrastinator - DONT TAKE THIS CLASS.

Got an A even though I skipped half the time. The tests are easy since they're just based off the example problems in the book (book is way too expensive, but you have to have it). Plus he counts homework as 50% of your grade, which you get three chances to do for every problem (done online). Easy class.

The previous posting is not true. Prof. Jorgensen is very clear of what the class require on each assignements. He tries to answering quetions, in ways that he is making you understand the problems, and not just giving out answers. If you you don't understand his explanation, you need to let him know. He is a very helpful and patience with class.

His descriptions of what he wants done are too confusing and when students ask him what to do on the Discussion Board, he repeats what he wrote and doesn't answer the question or help. About as easy as you would want a teacher to be while still actually learning something. You can only be so entertaining while teaching this stuff, but he does alright. Just drink coffee, BUY THE LECTURE NOTES, write additional notes in them, do HW, and you'll do fine. Be ready to word your ?s a # of diff. ways before you get the answer you seek.

I'm taking his online class. I like it a lot - just make sure you do every single HW assignment and quizzes/tests before the deadline and you'll do fine. Overall, I thought it was just right - not too difficult, not too easy.

I have had him for 4 different classes! He is the best! He knows what he is talking about and makes sure that you understand everything! One of the best accounting professors on campus!!!
