Professor Brownlee is so sweet and so caring, but extremely boring. If its a M/W or T/Th class, take it! But if its a 3hr class..then you better have a lot of patience. Tests are "curved" and he's very lenient with answers, just explain your point. It's a cool class, 1 exam, mid term, final and 2 papers. just have patience, attend and you'll pass.

Honestly, one of the nicest professors at CSUN. Really cares about teaching his students and making sure they understand everything. Yes, sometimes his lectures are boring but deal with it. Easy grader and tends to "Curve" a lot of test scores. If you want to learn the subject & have a caring, compassionate teacher, who grades easily then take him.

wow, this guy has absolutely no charisma or class presence. It was literally impossible for most of the class to stay awake. If you take him, please be on caffeine, otherwise you eventually rather wanna miss than have to hear him talk.

He's one of the nicest, most caring professors at CSUN. Easy class, as long as you attend all the classes and do the work. Tests were simple and straightforward. The last few weeks of the semester are dedicated to mock trials, which are fun!

This class is straight foreward: 4 non-cumulative tests, doesn't take attendance, many issues are common sense. I chose not to show up for lectures which hurt me come test time. He gives a thorough study guide for each test. He's very approachable and cares about his students. Too bad most of the material is boring/common sense issues.

I loved this class. There are a lot of group activities, nothing really involving anything outside of class. He really engaged our learning by these activities. The tests are not the easiest and are basically the telling point of your grade, but it's straight from the book pretty much. I could've gotten an A had I studied a little more. Oh well..

Mr. Brownlee is a very nice and respectable man. The only negative was the fact that his lectures are sometimes very common sense issue, like talking about how you dress is impactful and that smiling is universally known as good. Some pretty mundane topics, but he is still a very good teacher. Seems to care for all his students too.
