Comment:

I had Professor Hopper for Math 103. He is by far the best math professor I've had. He explains not only how to do things, but why we do them. He's truly concerned about his students fundamentally understanding the curriculum. Take his class if you're a person that values learning. Wish I could take him for every math class.

Comment:

I don't know how anyone could possibly fail Professor Hopper's class. We don't have to waste money to buy unnecessary textbook. He provides each chapter with a sample test of only 10 questions for all his students. Just study the test and you'll get an EASY A for each chapter exam. AWESOME TEACHER.

He makes funny jokes on the classroom. He tries his best to link jokes with the math problems, so we can understand it better. The homework is easy and it's not from the book.

best math teacher ever! I don't get math at all and I hate it, and he made it very simple to understand! I passed with a B! he goes over everything with you. There's no excuse not to pass.

great teacher. explains work and does homework sometimes in class. He doesn't have a textbook he goes off packets. If I would of tried harder and really study I know I could of got an A. Gives you credit on test even if the answer is wrong. As long as you show your work and get the idea of what to do he'll give you credit for the problem.

No textbook. Provides it in Homework/classwork packets to help students. Attendance not really mandatory, get signed in, but he does help solve problems in packet. After hw Packet, comes test. Lowest test gets dropped out at 6 tests, then a final. Hw packets WILL NOT be dropped. PASS TESTS, DNT FAIL 2+ TESTS. Patient, kind, lenient, respectable.

Comment:

Focus on the study guides more than the homework (which you grade for yourself) for the exams and you'll get an easy A. Before the final, Mr. Hopper gives a practice final which is very accurate. During the final, he gives a reference sheet for the final test in case you forgot anything. If you want to learn the material, get another professor.

Comment:

Great teacher, gives you the notes printed out, so you can just focus on getting the idea of the lecture and not have to worry about jotting all the notes down. Has office hours available if help is needed and he gives good feedback. Has a couple of jokes ready for the lecture, but many students don't get when it's delivered. Great Professor.

*He puts all the answers in the back of your hw so you can get a 100% with each hw assignment *He doesn't require a text book *The tests are super easy. He gives out a practice test that is very similar to his tests, so if you just study the practice test, you should be able to get a 100% in the test. *rounds your grade

Mr. Hopper is an AMAZING teacher. He gives you a packet so you do not need to buy a book, and that is really great because books are very expensive. He is very caring and really wants you to pass, if you try hard enough and take time to actually learn the material you will pass, he is always there when you need help if you are having trouble.

Comment:

Best Math teacher in the department. It's Math 7 and it expected to be hard. But he made it so easy. Just show up to class, pay attention and you would pass with an A. Don't have to take note because he pass them out.

I was never good a math, but Mr. Hopper made things really easy in this course. If you are trying to save money on textbooks, this instructor doesn't require it and instead prints out everything you need.

Comment:

Hopper is a great professor. Its math 7, its obviously not going to be easy but if you do your homework and analyze the portions you don't understand you will do well on the exams. He gives you your notes so you don't have to spend time writing and can spend that time paying attention. I enjoyed Hopper's class and learned a lot in the process.

Lectures are from notes he prepares and gives copies to everyone. Gives practice exams. Exams are from the homework with little or no surpirses. Gives one take home exame (usually exam 3) but... expect to spend 6 hours or more on it. Does not allow notes on any exames except the cumulatve final. No extra credit and no dropping lowest exam. Not easy
