This guy is awesome. He explains things clearly and even the toughest parts of the course he can make you understand with ease. Provided you go to class and do the homeworksquizzes, you can do extremely well on the two exams and the final project. You can also do a lot of cool stuff with what you learn in the class.

Summerville is hands-down the best professor I have had thus-far. He has a high level of interest in what he is teaching and makes sure that you understand it. He walks around class and lab to check up on your work and explain what you are confused on. Keep up with the quizzes and lectures and you will do well. You will NOT use the book.

Microprocessors and Digital Logic are both great classes and easy to understand with Professor Summerville. Very clear lectures, and most notes are also online. Labs make course material much easier to understand, and the tests are pretty straight forward. Study hard and it wont be too tough of a class

GREAT TEACHER! I took an online course, and an on-campus course from him. He is the most crystal-clear professor in Watson. TAKE HIS CLASS! The material may not be easy, but if anyone can teach you it's Dr Summervile.

Very good professor. Walks, acts, and looks like a badass. Only thing I disliked is the labs started very easy and short, and then suddenly around lab 4 they (while still relatively easy) started using much more time. Manage your time in labs (or maybe prepare before going) and you'll be fine.

(Also applies for EECE351) Probably the best professor at Bing. Always prepared. Course material is very difficult but he does an astounding job at teaching it. Of course he makes it seems easy, but in application, hard to implement. Very passionate. Reliable. Do yourself a favor and take EECE351 with him if you can fit it.

He is an amazing teacher. His lessons are crystal clear and straight to the point. He does go off a bit on drivers, you can ignore it and still get an A. His labs are tough and time consuming but a lot of the code that you use has been already been written. He received an award for excellent teaching and it was well deserved. will take class again

Very smart man, he knows the material like the back of his hand. HWs are easy (grades them on effort, rather than correctness). However, he doesn't talk to students... just comes in, lectures, then leaves. There is almost NO interaction between students. You'll find yourself making bets with your friends to try to make him smile.

He's a great guy. very easy to understand and really helpful on hard topics. the book he wrote himself and is pretty much what the lectures are like. take a lot of notes, but its all worth it in the end for test and the labs. I personally really enjoy his class and know others who do too. i would highly recommend him for a teach

best professor Watson has to offer. Requirements are clearly made from the start of the semester and tests are taken RIGHT from those requirements. Tests are EASY and striaghtforward if you go to class and understand whats going on. Doesn't try to trick you. Labs are a huge part of this class!!
