If you want a patient professor that doubles as one of Canada's most eminent politicologues, this is the class for you. Assignments were strenuous but well worth the work. Perhaps most important is his transparency; students are encouraged to present their own opinions and exams encourage personal commentary, hence moving away from rote learning.

Even my friend who is the biggest POL SCI freak doesn't like him. He is a very nice man but not clear at all on what he means or what he wants for assingments. He rambles on about one part of the course forever but doesn't even cover any material that is in the syllabus. He's very very smart but you never really know what he means.

Also teaches the Science Socio-Politique honor thesis class. Ed is a wonderful man and a wonderful prof. We've missed him over the last few years, but rumour has it he will be taking on a heavier course load soon. Truly an example of what a good prof should be.

The most boring prof ever. His lectures have almost no relevance to the material. We spent the first 2 weeks looking at different textbooks through the ages to see how poli sci textbooks have evolved. BLEAGH. The research assigment was tedious and dull.
