I had him for Gen Chem lab. His quiz's are difficult. But on the bright side he doesn't care about you actually doing the lab, he leaves about 15 min into it. He never makes you do pre or post lab questions either which is really nice.

worst Instructor i ever had. If you want to learn chemistry please take some one else. He doesn't know the material and uses his old notes and lab reports. He is very partial. He doesn't have any guidelines on grading policy.he is not a helpful teacher.

Overall good guy, helpful and funny. Only two complaints--1)he seems unable to stop and explain any confusion to a student until he's completely done with his full lecture on the material, making it meaningless to the student. 2)His grading seems to be haphazard. At midterm I had a B-, scored higher on all the material after but ended up with a C+.

Not best but better than the others. Make sure you know your sig figs because even though your answer is correct, it will be wrong if your sig figs is wrong. There are no Pre and Post lab assignments. Quizzes are hard but do the homework as a review.

He's okay. Not the best, but out of all the lab instructors, he's probably the easiest. plain and simple: you have a data sheet, a quiz and homework; other lab professors give you pre AND post lab problems. Quizzes are hard though. But data sheets and homework are basically handed to you on a platter. I'd recommend Dr. Pechonick over others.

Not really the most useful teacher, probably won't end up confusing you but I never really found him too helpful. Also no teacher should ever take off 5 points from a 10 point question for sig figs like he does, know your sig figs or its going to destroy your grade.

Not too hard of a class. He's decent at teaching chemistry, but is really clueless on the lab procedure and unbelievably inconsistent with his grading. I'm getting 100's on labs now that I would have got 50's on in the beginning of the term. There was one lab where he literally said "wait what are we doing here?!" when he didn't understand the lab.

Prof. P is awesome! I learned more from him than I did the lecturer. Don't listen to the posts; he is so helpful. The people that knock him just got a bad grade; but, as Prof. P says, the amount of effort you put in will determine your grade. So, be dedicated and your grade will correspond. Sign up for his lab section before it's too late!

If you are looking to truly understand Chemistry, Mr. Pechonick is the professor you want. The work he gives you is not busy work, it actually helps you to understand the material. His lectures in Lab are SOOOOO helpful. I actually learned more from him than I did my lecture professor. Mr. P is one of the best professors I have had at UNF.

Very rude, talks way too much (he uses all FOUR hours lecturing), and half of the things he says dont even help or make sense. He won't actually teach and grades very strictly, he'll take half credit off for very small things. Simply put, he is unfair and an absolutely horrible teacher. Just don't take him

He is very harsh professor in every aspect of the class. He Likes to talk to the board and NOT to the students. Likes the sig figs, grades very strictly, loves the graphs, and you better graph it right, or otherwise ur whole grade for that lab will fail.. gives hard quizes, do pre-lab exercises that he hands out SOMETIMES it's on the quiz...
