If you're not a strong math student, this is the class for you. Ed teaches things in a clear way and always answers questions, even if it takes up the whole class. A few quizzes, a midterm, and a final. As long as you show up and pay attention, the math itself isn't too hard to figure out. Final was a bit hard, but that's life. Take this class!

He deserves a much higher rating than what he has. If you are worried about taking a university level math course - you can't go wrong with him. He ALWAYS takes the time to explain questions at the beginning of class and his quizzes are very fair. Final was harder than expected but most people's averages were high enough going into it. Great choice

Super funny guy, and absolutely loves math. Gets off topic a lot of the time but he will answer any question you have. If you need to go over something just ask and he will go over it all at the start of class. Would defiantly recommend this prof!

I passed this class with a 97%. It was just like the math that I took in highschool (foundations 30). Ed would also talk about the history of math which I loved. He was a great teacher 10/10.

I loved his class, he explained exactly what he was doing, and built off of prior knowledge. If anybody had an issue with what he was teaching he would re-explain the problem back at the level where people were confused, and then relate it up to where we were in class. Highly recommend.

Math is my least favourite subject but Edward was hilarious and although the lectures can be pretty dry (it is math) he tried to give us some background knowledge to teach us the why's instead of just do this because you get the answer. I believe it would be hard to not finish this class without at least an 80. Put in a bit of effort easy 90.

Yes Edward does share random thoughts and theories of his own and it confused some people. Other than that, if you attend class you will easily pass! he explains things till you understand! Gives lots of practice problems for help, although the solutions get confusing u can just ask in class the next day so it's fine. Highly recommend him!

He started off teaching with an overhead which was extremely difficult to follow. Try picturing math in words! After he saw the class struggle, he taught the old fashioned way - board and notes. Although the person under me found his class interesting, I found it horrible! I almost failed. his notes were half thoughts/random, difficult quizzes too

Edward started off a little shaky, but once he got rid of the overheads and taught from his head the class smoothed out remarkably. He was clear, easy to understand, and gave the class every opportunity and tool to succeed and practice math. Quizzes every week rather than homework, and the tests were challenging but fair.

The best prof I had this semester. VERY flexible, understanding, easygoing. A VERY interesting and intelligent person. With him you'll learn lots of stuff that you've never even heard about. If you understand a little bit Math, this class will be boring and nonsense. You have quizzes, which are pretty easy, every week. Midterm and Final are hard.

Very boring teacher, but a solid teacher, extensively explains each problem. However, only knows how to teach one way, and if you don't understand his methods he is not much help (he just kind of laughs at you as if to say, "Why don't you get it?").

At first I didn't know how to receive this man. He gets frustrated easily by noise and loses his train of thought. Some days he can act like a total drama queen. Overall good prof and easy exams. I am please with my grades and he is really nice once you can read him. I would recommend this class to all.

I also had Edward for 111, and he was the best prof I've had yet. Made things easy to understand, for the most part, always helpful, and very understanding. I would recommend him most definitely!
