Ed is a really great teacher with an obvious passion for math. I took Calc 1 over the summer and it is a really short time for such a lot of material but Ed was really helpful and wanted everyone to succeed.

Comment:

I just finished taking Calc 1 over the summer and, unless you like math, I don't recommend taking this class during the summer, as it becomes greatly accelerated. Ed's teaching, however, was spot on. He is a fantastic teacher and is able to answer any question you have with clarity and precision. One of the best math instructors I've ever taken.

Ed is a nice guy. His class is hard and he wants to be helpful but his office time sucks. 50 minutes a day is not enough for all the students, especially when the material is hard.

Ed was very helpful and went above and beyond to clarify each and every question/problem. You are able to correct tests and get 5 points back, which is helpful. You can also have a note card. I am awful at math, and he is probably the best math teacher I've ever had. Very nice and helpful!

I wish the information provided on this site would have been accurate. He is below par in all aspects. Way too much overbearing homework. He is not accommodating to students needs and he is a very hard grader. He gets an F as a grade from me, unfortunately.

Comment:

Very nice, respectful, extremely articulate, organized and reasonable teacher. Homework level is moderate, and reasonable. Tests are difficult, but generally right on if you have perfect attendance, study, take thorough notes etc. Ed could reorganize the timing of units protect from falling behind though, that hurts the whole class. RECOMMENDED!

Ed is a good guy. But even if you are pretty good at math, come to class daily, take noes and pay attention, it's possible to not do well. My class fell behind a week into the quarter, and the reason why is still a mystery. His tests are challenging and his make up points system is a pain. Good guy, HARD CLASS

He is really hard! I was a low A, high B math student before this class. Now i'm struggling to get by. All of the exams have the toughest questions, including the final. He seems to be a really nice guy and helpful when you ask questions, but do not take him for pre-calc if you struggle in math, because you struggle more.

Math has never made more sense in my life! Harri is excellent and will never make you feel stupid when you ask a question. As long as you study the test review papers, the tests are fairly easy and don't have surprises.

The best math teacher I have ever had. I'm considering taking more math even though I have all the pre-reqs I need for my degree simply because I found a class that he teaches...and I am NOT the kind of person to take math as an elective :) He is very clear, helpful, and you will get the grade you deserve. I wish there were more teachers like Ed.

Great teacher. Took his 5 week 97/98 cram class and though I've always been terrible at math I actually did well thanks to his excellent teaching abilities. He's clear, helpful, and excellent at catching students weak points. Wish he was teaching Math 99.
