Eddie Murphy is hilarious! He takes Irish dance way to seriously though. He will make you do an end of the year performance, and if you don't have it down he will pull you from it, and you get a C or D. You must attend the dance shows.

Eddie was my favorite professor so far and Irish Dance was by far my favorite class. It is challenging but as long as you put the effort in and show up to class and try to learn the moves, you will get a great grade. Only written work is 1 short paper, everyone got a 100. Highly recommend taking this class he is so fun!

Professor Murphy was great! I enjoyed his Irish step class. He is a great teacher and he breaks down combinations so even beginners can catch on. He will also challenge more experienced dancers. Taught clogging and soft shoe. Be on time. Write 2 papers and attend all required dance performances and this should be an easy A. No textbook required

I absolutely love this class! It is such a fun class, a workout, and gets your mind off of boring typical classes. He only assigns two papers, which are mandatory from the depatrtment, but they are really simple. Watch out for the weeks his studio has a competition though, he may be a little short tempered...easy A/B+ if you work for it a little!

The class is an easy A, as long as you show up and try. He has his pets and tends to help them and favor them more then the people who need the help. If you want the easy A take the class and show up. however, if you suck, eddie will not fancy you.

Class is challegnging until you get the hang of dancing. Your feet and legs will hurt after! Soft/Hard/and Ceili (sq. Dancing) are the dance styles for irish dance. He is mean when he tries to quit smoking. Need tap shoes, and try to get jazz shoes or sneakers that havent been worn outside, so your feet dont hurt so bad!

Eddie is CRAZY!!! The class overall, is pretty fun as long as he's not trying to quit smoking...seriously! It's always interesting to listen to him talk about his speeding tickets. He's cool, but don't get him pissed off at you. And I have to agree, he definitely plays favorites, so if you've never danced, be prepared...

I only recommend this class if eddie is not trying to quit smoking the semester you take him. If he is trying to quit, he is very edgy and easily frustrated. Also, he definately plays favorites!

Eddie is wonderful! He makes dance class fun, and you end up learning a lot. He is very random in his comments in class but it makes it even better. He knows his stuff and makes even non-dancers look good. Take his class!!!

Comment:

Eddie is everything an Irish dance teacher should be. Funny, and nice. he turned non dancers into dancers within 2 months. A great class, i would reccomend to anyone :-)
