Comment:

Dr. Witherspoon has a bad rap but really does care about her students. She is hilarious, but very sarcastic and some see that as mean. As long as you joke back with her, do your work, and participate in discussion you'll be fine. She is an awesome lady and has great advice for the classroom and interning.

Dr.Witherspoon is not helpful and she don't reply to emails! She didn't grade our work often and our campus visit was a nightmare because she seem to dislike everyone. I paid to much money to attend SFA education program to be treated with such unkindness. I have been informed that I will have to endure her in a future semester. Class is pointless!

I do NOT recommend taking Dr. Witherspoon. She has stage four cancer and the symptoms and side effects make her an awful teacher. Her heart isn't in it anymore. She was a good teacher once, but all she did was yell at us and demand projects. I don't feel that I have learned anything from this class.

Great Teacher! Has a lot to offer future teachers. She has a great personality and truly cares about her students. She will give lots of good ideas of classroom activities. Show up, try and you'll do fine. Not a lot of homework, a little reading, but not too bad. Just participate and she'll take it easy on the class. If not, pop quizes!!

I LOVED Dr. Witherspoon. She is a great teacher and she REALLY knows her stuff. DO NOT let you cell phone ring in her class! She doesn't like that very much! I got an A in her class. Just go to class and do your work, and you will do great. She gives you opportunities to recieve extra points. Have a good attitude, she will love you! Have fun!

This class was really easy but if you miss class you will pay for it when she does final grades. It took me a really long time to warm up to her, so if you have a strong personality you might but heads a little. Other than that it was ok, I mean it was just another READING CLASS!!!

She has a very fun and interesting personality!!! Just go with the flow in her class, and you will have a blast!!! Do what you're supposed to do, show her that you want do well, stay on her good side, and you will do great!!! This was a very difficult class for me. These was LOADS of busy-work, but I did learn a lot of different things in her class. She has moments of abrasiveness, but on the whole she can be a sweetheart.. just try to stay on her good side. I'm glad that I'm done with her class, but now I often miss her at times.

LOVE Dr. Witherspoon! Her sarcasm is one of her best attributes! She knows her stuff. Lots of hands-on, which I love and think I will use MANY times in the classroom. Quizzes are from the book, so you have to read. You read several trade books throughout the semester, which she uses to help you learn how to do cross curricular connections.

She can come across as a bit sarcastic; but deal with it and you'll be fine. She can be very helpful at times, but stay on her good side. TAKE HER NIGHT CLASS!!She loves her night classes. She gives less work and asks questions off of the quiz 2 minutes before she hands them out as a review. SHH do not tell anybody, or she might change her ways!

Great teacher. Keeps the class moving & you learn a lot of neat things that can be used in the classroom. Best reading class I've taken here. She expects a lot from students, but helps you all along the way. Dont miss class! You get participation points you cant make up even if you are excused.

I don't know what people are complaining about. You learn a lot of neat things to do in your classroom. She applies her class to your grade level and subject you want to teach. Study for tests and quizes (like you have to for all classes) and you will be fine.You will learn a lot. I loved the class.

If you ask her a question, she will make you feel pretty stupid.Don't be late for class or you will be on her bad list.You have to spit out definitions on every quiz.I am not sure what the rope trick has to due with this class.I hope to pull out a "B" in the class. Good luck, you'll need it.

not as bad as everyone makes her out to be. Seems a little ****y at first but once you get used to her she's easy and you can see shes cool. as far as quizes, they arent easy but they arent that hard. just know your definitions and you'll be fine. Im a lazy student and i still liked this class.
