Comment:

Yes, I learned a great deal from this class, and yes, I got an "A." But she promised to write a recommendation for me, but it never arrived, so I lost out on financial aid, making it impossible for me to continue in school. This is obviously very distressing for me. And I am surprised by this, but in class, she was GREAT. :(

She's a nice lady but it felt like a lot of her classwork was just busy work until we had to hand in our final papers. She was helpful and gave us time to do our papers in class. It's an easy class, but you don't learn very much at all.

All of you complaining need to put more of yourself into your work. Ellen is the best! I took her for Assessment (GRAD course) and loved it! But I also put a lot of myself into my work and the class discussions!

She's really nice and more than willing to help outside of class. I don't feel I learned much, but grading was fair if not prompt. Her class was boring and tended to drag, but once in a while she let us talk and we had some fun discussions.

I did not feel that I learned anything. She is a nice person, she is just not a very effective teacher. Grading took FOREVER even when she promised to get it back sooner. Work load was not that bad, it was just a very boring class.

Horrible class for me. I didn't feel as if I learned anything- papers were easy, but pointless. A lot of projects, and papers, many overlap. She's not quick with grading, and treats you like you are in 3rd grade.
