Elroy is quite the guy. He can say some interesting things in class. It should be taken with a grain of salt some days. His class is pretty simple if you understand how to write an essay at all. He covers much of the material in class to the point where you don't really have to read, skimming will do just fine.

I learned how to do a thematic and structural outline very easily by following the structure that he gave us. Very interesting class, and funny too. Despite going off topic sometimes, I enjoyed most of the lectures.

He is very unhelpful and his lessons are incredibly dull; I found myself falling asleep nearly half of the time. Apart from that, he tears your essays apart in a first year course before even explaining how to use proper MLA format. Crude, useless (in terms of helpfulness), and boring.

I hated him at the beginning of the semester, but he totally grows on you, and you find he does know his stuff, and he is really funny. Plus it is pretty much impossible to fail this course, just do the work.
