Ever wanted to learn about philosophy from the Count? This is your chance. Very interesting, engaging, and caring. Very test heavy and the grading is quite challenging. He is very knowledgeable and if you can participate you will gain a lot from this prof. Lecture can get off topic at times but is always interesting. Must do readings. Attend Class

Worst prof I ever had, Most unrealistic standards for essays, If you work really hard and put in lots of time and effort you will be lucky to get a C with this guy. Would not take any of his courses ever again !!!!

Lots of reading material, Professor explains main concepts well, hard to distinguish what is relevant/irrelevant Two tests/One essay Professor is hard to reach outside of classroom, make sure to communicate all needs in class or on break. Overall not so bad, not difficult grader either as long as you're a good writer and he understands your work

Unnecessarily tough. You will not get an A, even if you do all the work and study. Extremely high expectations for an A or higher. Be prepared to read a lot. Like to pick expensive textbook, that is completely unnecessary (all texts could be sourced from cheaper books). Also will make you get course kit ($60). Does not communicate by moodle/email.

Comment:
Test questions are clear and precise, however prof's grading is not. He grades on a way tougher scale then the questions are asking for. Textbook and course kit are completely overpriced and unnecessary, course could be easily taught from multiple books that are a lot cheaper. Does not use Moodle, very slow to communicate by email. A drop in GPA

Funny, kind, and knowledgeable. Lecturers are dry and difficult to follow at first, but after 3 classes, you begin to get used to his style. Exams are completely fair and covers exactly what he talks about and he provides hints to questions beforehand which are more or less the exam questions themselves but reworded.

Professor is really passionate about subject. Textbook is expensive and unnecessary. The course material could easily be covered in multiple books containing same material for about three times less. Textbook is about one fourty and course kit another sixty dollars. A bit excessive. Nice prof in general,a bit tough on grading.

Great lecturer with realistic expectations. At times he can mix his words, however, he is thorough enough to clear any potential confusion by this. There was little to no discrepancies between what he projects and how the TA grades.

Very nice professor, grades fairly and his exams are well put together with no surprises as well as options. Really wants students to ask questions which can be difficult as his lectures are much more non-linear compared to others. Is sometimes not the clearest at explaining but still does a good job.

Great lecturer! Good sense of humor, and non-linear teaching. If you are a man of routine in studies, his style might be a little confusing and not clear. However, if you often read ahead and not assigned material, finding the material for the class boring - he is the man for you. He takes harder ideas and reduces them to the bare bone formula.

His backround in philosophy made the law course more analytical. He enables students to see the differences between written jurisprudence and practical jurisprudence in historical and recent courtroom hearings. He is very relaxed and makes students want to jump in and participate in his lectures.

Professor Morera is a good Professor, though he could be better. He doesnt use overhead notes, just lecture which can be difficult sometimes, but if you have any question he does clear them up for you. His tests are alright, and he is an alright marker. Overall he is a nice Professor and does care about the course material and student.

Comment:
Prof. Morera not only taught me philosophy, but also how to be a good person who is responsible for his ideas. His lectures were very informative and, because of his patience and humility, I felt comfortable asking him questions. However, his tests are purely essay-based and the topics can be vague, which makes them slightly difficult.

Comment:
This course has a mix of interesting material and dry material. However, there is enough choice on the essays and one the exams that you don't need to do all the readings. The lectures were a bit dry but there were some good discussions that occurred during the course. If you're good at philosophy, you should do fine.
