Father Smith is the best. He is passionate and is extremely knowledgeable. He also is full of energy and has the sharpest memory! He learns students' names immediately. I highly recommend this course. It can be dry at times...if students ask questions and get involved the subject matter is more interesting and easier to grapple with! he's the best.

I enjoyed this class a lot more than I thought I would. A lot of it is pretty dry lecture, but if you want to say something, you can just raise your hand and he'll basically shoot the breeze with you during class. He has a great knowledge about Catholicism that isn't at all fire and brimstone. Exams are as promised.

I don't know what these people are talking about. His lectures are just as drying as the readings - especially HIS book. Yea, its only three tests, but unless you are religiously sophisticated, you will probably fail. He thinks he is helpful, but he goes on and on and just confuses you more. Honestly, find a class with more grading criteria.

I personally loved the class. It was very philosophical and presented a Catholic point of view, (as it is labeled Catholic Theology: Christology). Total grade was based on three tests. The texts were put together by the prof. as a course packet. ($4.95!)
