I didn't find the class particularly interesting or clear, but the initially intimidating Schulte is a friendly, funny, and enthusiastic guy who makes the class easy and, at times, fun. Get the books, listen in class, note what he says will be on the test, and it won't be difficult to get an A.

Easiest philosophy professor ever! Just show up to class and highlight what he tells you and that's pretty much the questions that'll be on the exam. Grading scale is weird: 91-100 is an A, 81-90 is a B, etc. But this class is so easy that an A is doable. Just memorize the highlighted sentences and you'll ace the class. :)

He's such a nice, funny guy. He is very easy and gives you all the answers. He is kind of boring at times but he is so in love with philosophy he will get you interested. If you want his book email me: batatabooks@gmail.com IDK what else to do with it so email me if you want it.

Here is the thing with him. He will give you all the answers to his tests, which are a joke. And thats how you get your grade, he doesnt really care about that. But if you pay attention to what he says you will learn a lot, and he will make you think, and question some more; therefore encouraging you to learn more. Great professor.

Not one single piece of philosophy is read. His textbook is a terrible form of CliffNotes of philosophy. His textbook contains typos; Hegel is not discussed. Attendance is required but he reads straight out the textbook for his lectures. This class is a complete joke.

Prof. Schulte's class is somewhat difficult. Although he gives you basically all the questions and answers to the tests ahead of time, his grading scale is hard. The cut off for an A is a 91%. This class was pretty boring but bearable. He's a really nice guy and will help you if you have any questions that you are confused about.

Professor Schulte is awesome! He is funny...because I got his humor which I think a lot of the younger students didn't "get". If you can't pass his class, you shouldn't be attending college.

If you want to learn about Philosophy, this is not the class. He just rambles going down "rabbit trails". I can't imagine where ECC dug up this fossil. Truly one of the worst professors I have had. If you can block out most of what he says and highlight the 25 test questions. You can pass this class in a coma.

Schulte-ism: Prof Schulte's arrogant belief that because he has spent half his life in school, his choice of faith is the right one. Ridiculed the students who dared to describe their own religious experiences. Tests super easy, lectures a bore. He liked me but I dropped bc he was a bad teacher. His book costs ~$40 and has typos. What a joke.

You use his book that he wrote ($$), he tells you what's on the test. His lectures tend to be a bit boring. Just make sure you highlight the test questions. Like I said prop your head up and highlight....Fairly easy A. PS Definately not "hot"!

extremely EASY teacher. TEXTBOOK REQUIRED & ATTENDANCE is mandatory because he tells you the exact answers to the tests evryday. Just highlight evrything he tells you to highlight, and you will get A on tests. Attendance is a sign up sheet so if u don't want to go just let someone sign in for you and ask them what to highlight on textbook. EASY A.

Prof. Schulte is a great teacher. His lectures are fun, and he often uses self-deprecating analogies and jokes to help his students understand what he is teaching. Tests aren't hard, since he tells you what is going to be on the text. In his own words, 90% of his test questions come from his "cliff notes" book "Philosophy of Ethics"written by him

He tells you the answers to the tests. The only hard thing is the term paper, because you can basically answer the whole thing in a sentence. Good luck turning that into 4-5 pages.

Prof. Shulte has changed my view about philosophy. I was basically forced to take Phil to satisfy my requ. but ended up loving his class. He's the easiest phil prof. at El Co. I did so well he waived my final. He tells you exactly what's on the exam. phil is hard subject, but he tries very hard to make it easy to understand and connect phil to us.

well philosophy is a hard subject but with professor Schulte it's not that bad. show up to class and highlight the parts in the textbook( his textbook) that will be on the test and study it. probably the easiest professor in philosophy that you can get.

I'm the one who posted the rating about being a Business major in his 1pm class below. However, it cut some of my comment off. You can only miss 9 question out of all four tests combined to get an A. His first 2 tests have an essay question worth 2% and the rest are mulitiple choice worth 1% each. I got an A in his class
