I didnt like Schnell too much. She was very unclear in what she wanted which was frustrating. She makes you do the work she is biased in favor of despite telling you to be aware of your own biases. I would suggest taking anyone else in the department.

Schnell is a genuinely kind person and very approachable. There's a class research survey that was very jumbled at times and we had to write a paper off of it which was a little draining. The midterm was easy and multiple choice, a few writing assignments that weren't too time consuming. The whole class wasn't dreadful, but it was never exciting.

Her lectures are completely irrelevant to the tests. The review sheets have a boat load of information that you couldn't learn in three years. Half the stuff isn't on it. You're better off reading the textbook which is torturous. There aren't notes, D2L is very disorganized, i don't suggest it. Good luck

Do not take this class, it fulfilled my "J" requirement, however, the lectures are incredibly boring, and the tests are irrelevant to the lectures. She is extremely unorganized on D2L and the lecture outlines have nothing to do with the review sheet she gives, which is also extremely unorganized. Horrible professor.

Dr. Schnell is a GREAT professor she's extremely helpful and pleasant. 3 Exams (including the final),your choice of 2 out of 4 papers, get them out of the way early in the semester, you'll be happy you did. Class was mostly interesting, some really boring days, but a good diversity and a relatively (just do all the work) easy A. Extra Credit also

Classes are mostly boring unless we're talking about something controversial, like politics. Essay exams are easy [for some]. I didn't study one bit and got an A on the exam. As long as you make yourself clear on tests, you'll do well. Takes attendance toward the beginning of semester but not at end
