Instead of doing too much homework, my classmates and I spent most of our time listening to the teacher's lectures. Beware of his tendency to brainwash. It would benefit you to spend time becoming familiar with the opposing perspectives to his arguments. Other than that, easy A.

Pref Horn was AWESOME! I had him for Comp 1 & 2! He was so passionate about life & Lit, & he helps his stdnts find the writer inside. There would always be a student or 2 who wouldn't understand him but once they opened their mind to what he had to teach their opinion of him and his class changed. Long story short Great class & Best Comp Pref 4sho!

I LOVE PRF HORN! He is a wonderful teacher. I will never forget him or his lessons. I had him for comp I, I'm taking him for comp II, and I will take him for creative writing, though I don't even need that class.

Comment:

Mr.Horn is by far the best teacher that I have and will probably ever have. He teaches more than just English, he teaches you the importance of human compassion, and dignity. He is a really great man & I will never forget him. He has truly touched my heart through writing and his very important discussions. I am honored to have had both his Comp 1 & Comp 2 classes.

Professor Horn really has a passion for the written word. He can be a bit prickly at times, but he really knows what he's talking about. He doesn't just teach the craft of writing, he teaches you about the business. Listen to him, read the book and really work at it and you'll come out a better writer in the end.

I love Prof Horn! His way of teaching and just his way of living is really amazing. The class is very easy just don't get behind. The class consists of reading short stories and writing brief critical responses for them, a research paper, and a final critical responce of each chapter in his wonderful book! Not a lot of work at all. Take him!

READ THIS: Mr Horn is one of the best teachers you'll ever have IF YOU ENJOY WRITING. He actually wants to teach you about the skill but if you are not a great writer you won't get a good grade. But trust me if you enjoy writing you will LOVE THIS CLASS

Horn is a great teacher. i have taken him for both creative writing and comp2 he is very into his work. he is willing to help you if you ask and show interest! he is very funny and very mellow. you need to go everyday and do your work but it's not much. he wants you to be respectful. all and all he is fun and great to learn from xD i recommend him

Amazing teacher, one of the best that I've ever had. He will help you improve your writing and is always willing to work with students. He is extreamly strict on cell phones and attendance and will kick people out of class. There is also always an oppertunity to revise papers for a better grade before work is turned in at the end of semester.

Horn is rude. Generally he changes his due dates for assignments all the time. Likes to read to the class. Writing requirements aren't too bad. Classes seem to be small, which is nice. He will help you with your paper if you ask. The last statement is really funny as Horn himself is a BAD writer. Read Transcendence to get the full picture.

If you want to learn about how the white man doesn't give enough credit to native americans and how to pop clouds with a lazor beam coming from your head then this is the class for you! (Logical thinkers would be wise to avoid Horn like the plague) He tries to force the ideas of a quack magician(Dr. Emoto) onto his students.

G.Horn is an excellent teacher. He is not easy, but he's very fair. He's not just there for a paycheck like so many teachers. You will learn so much from him, not just about composition, but about life and humanity. Taking just one of his classes literally changed my life. I suggest studying John Trudell in Comp. class & reading G.Horn's books.

Great guy and understanding! Passionate about his work and teachings. He teaches how to write a GOOD paper and not a boring one! Some work, and a lot of revisions to better grades. All in all, I would take him again and recommend to anyone who doesn't mind writing.
