I loved Prof. Varga. She was always prepared for class, and dropped the lowest test grade. She takes time to make sure students can really understand the assignments. I would LOVE 2 take her again!

She doesn't seem to know how to handle her students. She is a nice lady who cares for her students, but I think she doesn't talk to people right or something. I, and most of my peers always felt like crap after talking to her for some reason because of the way she talks down to her students. Outside of school work she is a nice lady though

Comment:

Varga isn't a tough teacher, the material is just difficult. Her way of explaining math is THE BEST! She makes it so that even the worst math person in the world can truly understand. Yeah, you have to put in a moderate amount of effort, but it is SO worth it in the end. She is also very understanding. She allowed our class to make up a bad test!

She helps you if needed, but originally, she does not teach the content clearly! Yes, trig is a hard subject, but I feel as if I could have gotten a better grade if she taught better! She also adds problems to the test that you don't learn in class (ex. which is not the answer...who cares, I don't know about you but I would rather know the answer).

I would not recommend taking this teacher. She does not explain the content well at all and she doesn't even test you on the material that she vaguely teaches. The only thing that I liked about the course was the fact that she dropped 4 quizzes and 1 test, but that was because they are astronomically HARD! She is also very picky about your work.

Unless you are a SUPERSTAR in math do not take. You will work so hard for an average grade. 1/3 of the initial class dropped, of the remainder there were no A's going into the final exam and only a few high B's capable of reaching the A.

currently taking. trig is a hard subject, end of story. positives: works with us, gives us options for tests, is open to suggestions. tries to make us laugh which is kind of funny when it doesnt work. lol. i dont really have anything negative to say about her; trig is a tough class. i do recommend her for it. =]

Does not give you the time of day when she is teaching you trig. She does child-like actions when trying to discipline the students. She was a horrible teacher in high school and now in college.

Good teacher if your willing to take the time to pay attention and study what she gives you. She gives 5 tests, one is a take home and one of the 5 is dropped. She collects random homework to make sure your doing it and has a Final. She gives a practice test before every test. If you study the practice test, you will ace the test.

The most amazing math teacher in the whole entire world. I drove 2 hours away from where i live just to take math with her. Her teaching methods are phenomenal and she knows everything there is to know about math. I strongly recomend taking her for any math class...if you want to pass....

first math teacher i have ever liked and understood. she lets us use index cards on the tests with formulas and etc on them. shes funny and down to earth and never makes anyone feel stupid.
