Horrible. Reading is not bad but the tests kill you. She picks out the most random information from the book. There is really no way to study for the tests. People who were cheating still couldn't get past a B on the tests. She is helpful though and will do everything she can to help you outside of class, however, during class she won't help.

Comment:

I learned a ton about music from Sr. Himrod. Her class was always fun. The tests were easy if you had done all the reading. She was very kind (gave us candy on Halloween) and very knowledgeable. She introduced me to polyphony (music with multiple melodies), for which I am ever grateful. Ignore the stupid negative comments.

Not as bad as everyone says. Very nice woman. Lots of reading, though. Tests aren't bad as long as you actually do the reading from the book (otherwise you're probably screwed).

I'd been delaying taking this class because I heard that Sister Gail was a bad professor, but I sucked it up and am taking it, and she's really not bad. She's really nice and will always help you out if needed. Her quizzes come straight out of the book, so it's not difficult to study. We'll see how the rest of the semester goes.

if you need help she will def help you out all you have to do is ask, she isnt a fantasic teacher but she is very nice women. if you stay after with her she will teach you more then when your in class, one on one with her is better she explains more in depth, TESTS suck though!!! dont even bother studying its not worth it doesnt help

Accused me of cheating, and never reading the material - when I always read and never ever cheated. Cannot teach and puts random things on the quizzes. Even if you're smart, you'll do bad in her class. DO NOT TAKE HER.

Quite possibly one of the worst teachers ever which made it quite possibly one of the worst classes ever. She is mean, spiteful, unintelligent, unthought-provoking, an all-around miserable human being who wants to make every one else's lives miserable!
