Professor Phillips is an EXCELLENT teacher. He's thorough, clear, interesting, helpful, and cares about his students success. He gives you all the knowledge you need to gain a solid foundation in mathematics. I would recommend him to everyone. He is by far one of the best math teachers I have ever had.

It was a hard class, I had to work very hard. His tests seem to be harder than what we went over. He does try to work with you and gives worksheets that he will look over before you turn them in. They are worth as much as the Test sometimes. Also sometimes allows you to re-do certain wrong test questions for half points.

OMG,Mr. Phillips is a tough grader,pickie,and rude.He wants everything to be his own way,he substracts too many points eventhough you do your work correctly or go to tutoring.He thinks your concerns are not his problems.I don't know what I was thinking,but I should of listen to my peers.To be honest,I wouldn't recommend Mr. Phillips as a professor.

I strongly suggest if you do not start out with him in 0306/0308 do not take him. He is a very hard teacher. What you learned from other teachers he will not accept and tell you he has to break the bad habits. It is as if he is the only one teaching correctly. He expects you to already know the material. I was miserable in his class glad its over.

Really recommend. He is a great teacher. He makes learning easy. Even if you get an answer wrong but show work he gives you points. He gives you a review for each test. After the test is graded he lets you rework some problem on the test that were commonly missed and puts those points on your test.

Excellent and very knowledgeable professor. If you like to know WHY you do certain problems certain ways or the reason behind rules of Algebra, he's the perfect teacher. He explains everything completely. If you do not do labs and/or worksheets, do not expect to pass...they are the best practice. HELP? SEE HIM IN THE SEA CENTER HE WILL HELP YOU!

Do NOT take Mr. Phillips! he expects you to already know most of the material he goes really fast and take off points for any mistake even if the answere is correct. he dont give extra credit and no curves if you make a 49.4 thats what you get. if u r not good at math DO NOT TAKE HIM! RUN! RUN!

Mr. Phillips is a great professor. Students must attend class. Also students must take notes in his class in order to master algebra skills. In order to make a passing grade, students must do homework, math labs and math worksheet assignments to make a better exam and overall grade. Mr. Phillips has a great sense of humor.

Professor Phillips is one of the best math instructors at NH. I took math 0306, 0308, and 0310 with him and he created a math monster out of me. Tests, computer labs, review sheets, and homeworks are extremely easy. He definitely should be teaching college algebra or more advanced math courses.

Mr. Phillips is a great teacher and if you are not good in math he will turn anyone into a great student. All you have to do is show up do your homework and will will learn and comprehend. I had Professor Phillips about 3 or so years ago. He starts out from the very beginning, which is very helpful & he's willing to help. He didn't have a problem with questions. You have to work your tale off or you won't pass b/c he's very strict on grading, or was. I still hate math, but would take him again just for his clarity in teaching!

Awful teacher! Do not take his class unless you are a math wiz. must do homework every night. Tests are so tricky it's like he picks the hardest math problems for tests on purpose to laugh and use his red pen to write all over your work. If it's not written his way on the test you lose -1 point for " format" its ridiculous! RUN!!!!
