By far the most interesting core class I've taken. I learned so much in this course thanks to Professor Wagner. She always made lectures interesting, and you can tell she loves what she does. Tests were never too hard. Make sure to do the online quizzes.

The class composed of worksheets, video quizzes, extra credit, and tests. The content was interesting and I had fun learning about anthropology. The tests are easy if you pay attention and study a bit before the exam. There is lots of extra credit and the worksheets and video quizzes were super easy. Do the work and its an easy A.

Most particular woman I have ever met. If you don't put a period in the spot she wants it in, you'll get points off. Very boring lecture. Although, she is a nice woman when you get to speak to her on topics other than the ones discussed in class.

She's alright. This class is just straight memorization and the test is really hard. She gives some extra credit to help you out but you have to really study. She is really dull in her lecture but it is also an interesting class.

Wagner was a decent professor, but not particularly amazing. Lectures are dull and boring in my opinion, I was on my phone for 80 percent of the class. Tests were not too hard, and the "2 hour assignments", I could complete in 30 minutes and get an A on them. As long as you don't bomb the tests and do the homework and video sheets you'll be fine.

Whole class revolves around a single project. A lot of reading quizzes and homework but slows down after the first half of the semester. I did well in the class but it was very time consuming and tedious.

This class wasn't even in my major but I took it because it sounded interesting. Started off really cool and fun until we hit the midpoint of the semester and started the project worth 70% of the final grade. Wagner is so extremely picky about how she wants EVERYTHING done and she is extremely rude and patronizing to all of her students.

This women is horrible. She is extremely rude if you have a question about anything and refuses to accept when she is wrong . She is also extremely OCD in her directions, they are impossible to get correct. No tests or anything in class- attendance is mandatory but the lecture is absolutely useless and pointless. Extremely boring. Don't take this

Get ready to cry. She is by far one of the most disrespectful professors I have ever met. Not only does she criticize your mental capabilities but belittles you for not reaching her standards. 0/10 wouldnt take a class with her again.

I am a senior and this is the worst professor I have ever had. She called our class "a bunch of third graders" for talking together outside in the hall before class. Her grading is impossible, and literally every single person failed the final exam, which was 13 pages long. She has been doing this since the 70s and NONE of her grad students passed.

Extremely rude. Thinks her class is the only class. I used to be a 4.0 student until her. Considers herself the smartest woman in her department (ethnopaleoethnobotany wtf). Assigns 2+ hours of homework daily, 12 page tests that she takes points off for writing 'make' instead of 'made'. Has no common sense, lectures nonstop, expects memorization.

Great professor! She puts all of her powerpoint online, and she doesn't take attendance. Gives extra credit all the time for students who show up, and let out 10+ minutes early quite often. The tests are easy if you go to class and pay attention, but can be challenging if you try to do it yourself! Plays movies a lot, and homework is simple.

It's not an easy A but as long as you do the worksheets, show up to class to take the extra credit quizzes (that you can work with your classmates on), take the practice quizzes online, and review the powerpoints on bb like once a week you'll be fine. I studied an average amount and finished with a 98 in the class. Work isn't tough just necessary

If you're a lazy freshman who wants an easy A, don't take this class. I just took this class as a senior and did not think it was that difficult compared to my other classes, but my younger classmates thought otherwise. Just go to class and take great notes and you will be fine. She reviews a lot. The exams are detailed, but you HAVE to study.

This is a class intended for archaeology students... and she treats it as such. Probably the most valuable class that I have had as an anthropology major/ archaeology concentrate! Wagner will teach you all of the necessary prerequisites to be able to go and volunteer at a site. As a senior, I am still using the info I got two years ago from her! :)

Taught interesting course material, but lectures were kinda dry. The information isn't hard to learn, but she is a very harsh grader and expects you to know answers word for word. There is no textbook for the class, but she was very good about responding to emails with any questions you had.

Not exactly a hard class, but shes so ridiculously picky that you have to study and study hard. I thought I knew the information pretty perfectly but still barely got Cs on the tests. Her main problem is that she expects everyone to know and understand the subject perfectly. Very frustrating at times, but you can do it. Got a B plus with effort

Ms. Wagner is an absolutely horrible professor. She is extremely boring in a subject that is already incredibly dull. She knows everything about the subject, but has no idea how to teach the information to those of us who don't. Taking the class as an extra social science was a terrible mistake. Please avoid her at all costs.

Not someone I would recommend. Very picky on short answer & essay questions on the tests. VERY BORING. Attendance was mandatory. It took a lot of effort to even look up at the projector in class because she was so monotone. But, she does give study guides that are helpful & I ended up getting an A in her class. Easy A, just painful to endure.

hated her. extremely picky is an understatement. I am a good writer and she gave me a zero on an essay for "plagiarism" even though I quoted everything. She was extremely rude whenever I approached her with a question or issue.
